Once it’s set up, the Authenticator uses a code generator app - such as Google Authenticator for Android, iOS, and Blackberry phones, or Microsoft Authenticator for Windows phones - to generate a six-digit code.

You will then need to enter this code, when prompted, as a second step each time you log in on a new PC.

Then, you can set your account to remember your computer for 30 days, if you wish.

I don't mind them implementing this but they shouldn't get rid of JAG.

Takes 2 min to set up really good and it will be better than jag for sure

after u set it up u can use Ge on your phone/companion app

So basically how google sends a message to me with a number in it to activate my email on a new pc. It's good.

This is probably one of the best updates they've implemented into the game. I love it!!

I would suggest that everyone sets up authenticator with their email account as well since your Jagex authenticator can immediately be reset if a hacker gains access to your linked email. This is a large security flaw imo.

Mod Rascasse: You can install a code generator app on your computer. We are recommending that you do this on a different computer to the one on which you play RuneScape but this is not a requirement. There are various code generator apps available for Windows and Linux. WinAuth is just one of them. I haven't managed to find a compatible app for Mac OS yet (but at the same time, I haven't seen any comments from people who have a Mac but don't have a compatible smartphone).

If you have a gmail linked to your acc and got 2step verification to log in you shoukd be safe..

I am sure you can set up 2step with the same authenticator you set up the rs thing with

Still asks me for a code every time like it does with JAG -.-
