The Month of May Holds More Than You Might Realize!
« on: April 30, 2015, 16:44:54 »
Sup ladies and gentlemen,
Shisha and/or Mr Shisha speaking and i wanted to make sure that everyone within our marvelous clan is aware of the upcoming month of May.
There are quite a bit of activities going on and on top of that TONS of bonus experience to be gained and just amazingness everywhere.

Events - The main event for the month of May is going to be the 'Runescape Road Trip'...yeah sounds lame I know. BUT what it is is you get a journal with 20 tasks within. Throughout the month u complete a task to gain an experience lamp. Tasks are in a variety of categories from skilling, combat, minigames, and miscellaneous. (OH NO NOT COMBAT for you skillers) don't be alarmed my skiller friends, every day JMods will be at lumbridge crater giving 'chits' which can be used to skip tasks once per day (note: they are stackable and can be used throughout the entire month). With that being established time for some more rewards!
Explorers' Aura- an Aura granting you once per day (for 30 days from the day you unlock it) to an instanced area where you can skill or kill as much as you can with increased experience rates for a limited time! To obtain your aura (starting at Tier 1) you must complete a full category within the road trip journal. With every extra category that is completed your aura will upgrade granting you more time within this instanced area and also restarting the auras timer. So use your T1 aura before u upgrade for bonus time!
Companion pet and large experience lamp- These rewards are acquired from completing all of the categories within the Runescape Road Trip journal ( of which you receive a piece of a compass per category)
Your final reward (for those who don't have it from last year) is the Hiker's Outfit and Partyhat Firemaking animation! These are alongside your final reward for claiming the journal and completing all of the categories within!

Now for the bonuses for the month:
Skiller Weekend | 1st May - 4th May
-Double XP and reputation at Artisan's Workshop.
-Increased node spawns and reward points at Runespan.
-Double chance for gold relic, sceptre and Black Ibis drops at Pyramid Plunder.
-Enriched divination nodes spawn every 10 minutes.
-Fishing spots stay in place twice as long.
-Divination wisps last twice as long.
-Mining nodes and trees replenish twice as quickly.
           -+50% base Big Chinchompa XP.

Minigame Weekend | 8th May - 11th May
-+1 Castle Wars gold ticket per game.
           -Double points from Stealing Creation.
           -Double points from Pest Control/Conquest.
           -Double Zeal from Soul Wars.
-Bosses killed in Dominion Tower count as two for the purposes of reward unlocks.
-Double produce points at Livid Farm.

Dungeoneering Weekend | 15th May - 18th May
           -Double dungeoneering tokens, including Sinkholes.
           -+50% base Sinkholes XP.

Special Ports Bonus | 15th May - 1st June
-Ports offer 25 voyages a day instead of 15.

Slayer & Boss Weekend | 22nd May - 25th May
           -+50% base Slayer XP.
           -Double Slayer points.
-Expanded drop tables for Kalphite King, Giant Mole and Barrows - Rise of the Six.
-All charm drops offer an extra charm.
-Double amounts of all rare drops, and the ring of wealth doubles in effectiveness.

So with all of these AMAZING events, increased spawns, increased drops, and bonus experience there should be something for everyone so grab a drink, log in, and get to Scaping away either alone of with a friend ! HAPPY SKILLING
