Tuska World Event Guide
« on: June 01, 2015, 12:41:39 »
Introduction

The Tuska world event has started, so get your things ready to save our world and get some good rewards in the process.

This guide is made so you won't be as confused on what you're supposed to do in this world event.

This guide has 5 parts:
- Introduction
- Getting to the world event
- The Distraction and Diversion
- What else is there to do
- Rewards.

Note: It will take a while to write everything since I can only do the distraction and diversion once per hour.

Getting to the world event

To start the world event you ofcourse need to know how to get there.

You can get there by using the home teleport spell, then click on the magnifying glass on the top right
(click to show/hide)
when you do that the lodestone map will change and will go to tuskas back when on tuskas back you need to click the lodestone there to be teleported
(click to show/hide)

To get back to the world you simply click on the magnifying glass again to return to the normal lodestone map.

The Distraction and Diversion

The disctraction and diversion is safe and skiller friendly, if you die here you just float around in space for a little bit untill youre brought back again. However in 1 out of the 4 islands there is a prayer activity so don't do this if you're skiller ! The distraction and diversion caps on 1k reward currencry per player per day. You can however do the D&D as many times as you like but don't get any more reward currency after you hit the 1k cap (from the D&D you still get reward currency from the other activities)

So let's start by explaining how the Distraction and Diversion works:
There are a totale of 4 different islands where you need to do activities on what gives you xp in a certain skill and will power the spear that you use to hit Tuska after you completed the last island. If enough people do this through the month of June then we stopped jage... Tuska from destroying our world. To do the distraction and diversion you need to have made either a group and have the group leader talk to the wizzard to be teleported OR you need to jump on the platform near the wizzard when you're alone.

The Islands:
There are 4 different island that all have different skill activities, this part will explain what you need to do on the islands and what xp it will give you.

Crystal Island:
(click to show/hide)
Skills:
- Divination
- Agility
- Mining
- Dungeoneering

This island has 4 different activities to get experience,
1. Charge Active Runestones: This will give you Divination experience. The charged runestone switches every few seconds so you need to keep moving to get to the next one.
(click to show/hide)
2. Balance/Cross/Climb Crystals: This will give you Agility experience. To get to the charged runestones you need to hop from island to island using the crystals. (You can only go clockwise!)
(click to show/hide)
3. Mining the Fallen Rock: This will give Mining experience (duh). Once in a while a Fallen Rock will fall out of the sky and you can mine it for experience and to charge the spear.
(click to show/hide)
4. Chip-off Gatestone: This will give Dungeoneering experience. To get from the south-east to the north-east island you need to chip off the Gatestone instead of crossing a crystal.
(click to show/hide)

Gravestone Island:
(click to show/hide)
Skills:
- Firemaking
- Prayer (So watch out on this island skillers don't use the graves !!!)

This island has 2 different activities to get experience.
1. Burn the Tentacles: This will give you Firemaking experience (it shows that you deal magic damage but you don't get any magic experience it's just the type of damage you're dealing with the holy torch). First you need to make sure you're not having a weapon in your main-hand slot then you need to pick up the Holy Fire south of the tentacles (You will only have the holy fire for 30 seconds before you need to pick it up again!).
(click to show/hide)
2. Dig Graves/Killing Tortured Souls: This will give you prayer experience (so not skiller friendly). You need to pick up an item from the altar next to the graves, when you get the item you can dig in the grave and get into a spirit world. Bring a spirit back to the normal world by clicking on it then kill it and you'll be transformed in it. Then go to the last rites and you'll get prayer experience.
(click to show/hide)

Lightning Island:
(click to show/hide)
Skills:
- Hunter
- Construction

This Island has 3 different activities to get experience. 2 out of the 4 activities will charge you, you can see this by the small blue bar under your hitpoints when you have this click on the charge unstable core in the middle to get experience.
1. Killing Lightning: (I'm not sure what experience this gives yet) You kill the lightning and then click on charge unstable core to get experience.
(click to show/hide)
2. Building shattered pytons: This gives Construction and Hunter experience. Click on the pytons (the purple squares on the edges) to start building them for construction experience.
(click to show/hide)
after the pyton you made is detroyed by lightning a sentient lightning apears and you need to lure it to the unstable core to get hunter experience and get charges, click onthe unstable core when youre charged to gain experience.
(click to show/hide)
3. Divert Lighting: This gives Hunter experience. You sometimes see white shapes appear on the floor, simply click on them to get hunter experience.
(click to show/hide)

The Tree Island:
(click to show/hide)
Skills:
- Woodcutting
- Herblore
- Farming
- Mining

This island has 5 activities (All apart from 1 gives the player a herb this herb is needed to nourish the roots)
1. Chopping Vines: This gives Woodcutting experience. Just chop the parts of the vine untill it disapears.
(click to show/hide)
2. Killing Tentacles: I dont think this gives any experience and only gives the herb.
(click to show/hide)
3. Mine Fallen Rock: This gives Mining experience (duh). Same as on the crystal island but this time mining the rock will give you the herb.
(click to show/hide)
4. Crush Mysterious Herb/ Nourish the Roots: This gives Herblore and Farming experience. You need to crush the herbs that you get from the other activities to get Mysterious Herb (crushed), this is used to nourish the roots so they grow towards the plants.
(click to show/hide)
(click to show/hide)
(click to show/hide)
5. Collect Seeds and Deposit them to the tree: This gives Farming Experience. When the roots are long enough they will connect to a plant and make the plant grow to it's full size, when the plant is grown you can take a seed from it that you then use on the tree to get more herbs.

Tuska's Face.
After you completed the 4 islands and the spear is fully powered you will be transfered to one of Tuska's tusks, you then need to walk up the tusk to get to it's mouth when you're at his mouth you need to climb his teeth.
(click to show/hide)
When you're on his face you need to click on his weak spot and your character will automaticly will walk to it and stab the spear there (you wont get any cb experience and you NEED to do it for the distraction and diversion to end).
(click to show/hide)

This is the Distraction and Diversion you get the most reward points from this but it's capped at 1k per player per day.

What else is there to do

Apart from the distraction and diversion there are a few other things you can do for reward currency.

Woodcutting:
North of the lodestone there are quills you can cut for 64 woodcutting experience.
(click to show/hide)

Agility:
In the same part as the woodcutting quills there are also blue colored quills after you chop these you can use them as balancing stones (like the ones in prifdinnas). So you can afk train agility there untill you reach the cap. Under 1 of the agility quills there will be thunder this quill will give 10 times more xp than the rest.

Slayer:
You can kill the parasites and get 91 slayer experience per kill. The parasites are located south of the lodestone.
(click to show/hide)

From these activities you get an item that you can give to Wizard Chambers to get more reward points.

Rewards

We all know we're doing it for the rewards and not to stop Tuska from destroying the world cause face it Jagex already did. So what are the rewards you get from this world event ?

Armor:
- World Eater armour
This is the new warpriest set. It's hybrid armour, with stats equivalent to 25, 50 or 75, depending on your Defence level. Note that level 75 stats are only available to members. Wearing the full set gives you a chance to max-hit enemies in combat.
- Previous World Event armour
Saradomin, Armadyll, Bandos and Zamorak Warpriest Sets.

Abilities:
- Tuska's Wrath
This basic ability deals huge damage – based on a multiple of your Slayer level – to monsters you've been assigned by a Slayer master. Note that this doesn't affect some more powerful enemies, such as the Queen Black Dragon.
- Previous World Event abilities.
Sacrifice, Devotion and Transfigure.

Cosmetic Overrides.
- God spear: (two-handed melee)
- Telescope: (off-handed magic)
- Tuska Storm Teleport: (override for the home teleport spell)

3 New Emotes.

Experience Lamps.

If you just do the 1k cap of the distraction and diversion it will take

12 Days for the Warpriest Set
1 and a half day for the 2h and offhand override
4 days for the new ability
3 days for the emotes
1.2 days for the teleport override

21.7 days to get everything if you just use the distraction and diversion
