AI was 94 percent accurate in screening for lung cancer on 6,716 CT scans, reports a new paper in Nature, and when pitted against six expert radiologists, when no prior scan was available, the deep learning model beat the doctors: It had fewer false positives and false negatives.

I saw this posted on Reddit a couple of weeks back. I'm always fascinated by and a huge believer in the "AI future", so reading stuff like this is very uplifting!

Yeah I have seen this before, it is so cool. This is one of the reasons why i feel bad for people going into medicine today. It requires zero creativity which is perfect for an AI, so pretty much every job in that world will be gone in the future.

I'm so excited for the coming years of AI development.  What it's doing already is potentially world changing.  As hardware and our knowledge of creating intelligent, learning machines continues; I see a lot of good coming from it.

Developments like this always amaze me. I love the world of medicine and the future technologies inevitable to be created... I'm just so excited for them.

When I was told back in primary school that there will be jobs out there that don't exist yet I had no idea this is what the future would bring.
Isn't it exciting!
