Title: Huawei has started sneakily adding lock screen ads to its phones
Post by: Redtunnel on June 14, 2019, 10:36:08
One fix is to simply delete the offending wallpapers from the Magazine gallery. Another fix is to simply disable the Magazine view entirely and either use a single image or your own wallpapers.

Either way, sucks to be a Huawei owner right now.

Imagine paying hundreds for a product only to adverts built in with the device. I have seen similar things happen with Samsung TVs displaying adverts, too.

This is the future.

I hear so much controversy to this company and yet I hear the phones are great.  That would drive me mad, maybe they should give you money off of your bill if you allow the adverts

I don't actually mind the ad's like the picture was shown. Don't seem to be a big deal.

I'm sure I had this on a previous Samsung as well. Very sneaky and not always easy to remove :'(

Who would buy one of these phones given what has been circulating about the company?
