wasteful content. like that which is  driving the prices up. apart from the already implemented cosmetic items

Imo, Jagex needs to do more to bring new/previous players back to Runescape, all the guys i know who used to play 10 or so years ago dont even realise OSRS exists and im sure they would be willing to play again for the nostalgia and then hopefully pay for mems. I remember once or twice a few years ago they aired an adverts on ITV, perhaps this is the key for progressing the game? as well as existing content/endgame stuff.

Why are you increasing the price?

In short, we are continuing to invest in RuneScape, and the price increase is one part of assuring RuneScape's future for many years to come. Additionally, economic factors such as Brexit and fluctuations in the value of currencies meant that we needed to review the pricing structure for our games.
What will happen to my existing active membership when the price increases?

Good news - nothing changes. Any existing subscription agreement will be honoured for as long as it remains in effect, in accordance with the agreed Terms and Conditions. This means that you get to keep your existing price, as long as your membership remains unbroken. For example, if you are on a monthly agreement to pay $7.95, you will continue to pay that amount until your membership ends. We call this a "grandfather rate" and we're delighted to honour these for our loyal members.
As a new or returning player, what will the new price for membership be?

View the updated membership price list. Remember - this is for new members, or returning members who have lapsed out of membership for longer than 14 days.
My membership ended after 4th June 2018. Am I no longer eligible for my lower price?

We allow a 14-day grace period, during which you may start a new membership and retain any lower rates for which you are eligible.
Will the real-world price of Bonds be increasing?

Yes, the real-world price of Bonds will be increasing to reflect the new membership cost.
Will the in game cost of Bonds increase?

Most likely, yes. It's hard to say exactly how much, as the price is determined by the player-run economy, but Bonds will likely settle into a new value reflective of their new real-world cost.
What about Bonds that I have on my account before June 4th that I haven’t used?

Any Bonds that you have on your account come 4th June 2018 will be redeemable for the new values.
I use game/store cards, will the prices of the cards be increasing?

The actual price of game/store cards will not be changing, but the amount of membership cards can be redeemed for will change.
Will the price change affect both RuneScape and Old School RuneScape?

Access to Old School RuneScape is included in your normal subscription. If you start a new RuneScape subscription agreement after the date of the price change you will need to pay the increased amount.
I play in Australia/New Zealand – will my price be brought in line with the rest of the world?

We have carefully considered the local costs that vary on global location, and have made sure that the new prices are balanced carefully with this in mind.
