Find details of price increases for new and returning members and Bonds buyers, coming 4th June.

Imo, Jagex needs to do more to bring new/previous players back to Runescape, all the guys i know who used to play 10 or so years ago dont even realise OSRS exists and im sure they would be willing to play again for the nostalgia and then hopefully pay for mems. I remember once or twice a few years ago they aired an adverts on ITV, perhaps this is the key for progressing the game? as well as existing content/endgame stuff.

This is it for me.

It's not even the price increase (1$ isn't that much) itself that pisses me off, it's the principle that, despite constantly underperforming and shoving MTX down our throats, they have the fucking balls to, on top of all that, increase the price.

It's like they're laughing at us at this point. Just trying to milk us as much as possible before this game hits the grave.

Thank you for making it easier for me to quit after 10 years, this addiction wasn't healthy for me anyways. Finally time to move on.

Why increase the price due to a standard that's only been "demonstrated in the last 2 months" ? Why not show us you are capable of making quality content for a longer period time before asking us for more money? This is the entire issue with Hearthstone as well, the community as large is only appeased before a big ask of more and more money. I've learned my lesson, I'll be cancelling my subscription. Newer players who see such a blatant grab for money who have less time committed to the game will no doubt also cancels subs.

So you are increasing the membership price while still increasing MTX? Fuck you, this is just unnaceptable. If you continue increasing MTX even with the membership increase, I'm not paying for membership next year.

Why are you increasing the price?

In short, we are continuing to invest in RuneScape, and the price increase is one part of assuring RuneScape's future for many years to come. Additionally, economic factors such as Brexit and fluctuations in the value of currencies meant that we needed to review the pricing structure for our games.
What will happen to my existing active membership when the price increases?

Good news - nothing changes. Any existing subscription agreement will be honoured for as long as it remains in effect, in accordance with the agreed Terms and Conditions. This means that you get to keep your existing price, as long as your membership remains unbroken. For example, if you are on a monthly agreement to pay $7.95, you will continue to pay that amount until your membership ends. We call this a "grandfather rate" and we're delighted to honour these for our loyal members.
As a new or returning player, what will the new price for membership be?

View the updated membership price list. Remember - this is for new members, or returning members who have lapsed out of membership for longer than 14 days.
My membership ended after 4th June 2018. Am I no longer eligible for my lower price?

We allow a 14-day grace period, during which you may start a new membership and retain any lower rates for which you are eligible.
Will the real-world price of Bonds be increasing?

Yes, the real-world price of Bonds will be increasing to reflect the new membership cost.
Will the in game cost of Bonds increase?

Most likely, yes. It's hard to say exactly how much, as the price is determined by the player-run economy, but Bonds will likely settle into a new value reflective of their new real-world cost.
What about Bonds that I have on my account before June 4th that I haven’t used?

Any Bonds that you have on your account come 4th June 2018 will be redeemable for the new values.
I use game/store cards, will the prices of the cards be increasing?

The actual price of game/store cards will not be changing, but the amount of membership cards can be redeemed for will change.
Will the price change affect both RuneScape and Old School RuneScape?

Access to Old School RuneScape is included in your normal subscription. If you start a new RuneScape subscription agreement after the date of the price change you will need to pay the increased amount.
I play in Australia/New Zealand – will my price be brought in line with the rest of the world?

We have carefully considered the local costs that vary on global location, and have made sure that the new prices are balanced carefully with this in mind.

Business is business and they do business well including MXT and DMM the amount of marketing DMM brings is great hence the reason they're allowed to drop 20k prize pots i don't see a problem with the price changes or grace period all being ive been reoccurring since like 2006 they're not increasing it for the banter there is legitimate reasons behind it end of the day if they dont hit their quota and goals per financial year then simply put,

No profit/Not enough = No game

I agree that it's a business after all and that these are to be expected with any subscription based game. But I believe that everyone is extremely pissed off because 2017 was awful in terms of content and MTX was (still is) constantly being shoved down our throats.
