One of the main improvements coming with the Evolution of Combat is that the Ranged skill has been improved, filled out and powered up (along with Magic), to bring balance to the combat triangle.

So, if you’re already a ranger, or were always interested in trying out the combat style but preferred the advantages melee players enjoyed, then the EoC represents a new era.
