I still don't understand the point of the new formula.  Why wouldn't someone just do 99 attack and defense, then be 200 cmb without other stuff? It's a flawed system.  I personally don't mind the opening of hp, summ, and pray to skillers, but I won't be training them until I'm done with my other skills.  Don't wanna make a mistake if they change you know.

And it's not like skillers are ruined... Jagex isn't giving you combat levels, just that level 4 would be the new lowest level possible...

Lilly even for level 3's it'll open up tons of skilling potential. Yak at living rock caverns and you WON'T DIE. Thieving at plunder with just bunyips and anti poisons for hours. Graahk runecrafting, quests you couldn't do before cos of low HP and max hits on monsters opening up, there's tons and tons of possibilities that should have always been open and now skillers can take advantage of.

I realize that was probably horribly put together.

People like Soul In Pain and Beta Sun would be level 5 since they already have a combat level that isn't prayer.

Not sure what to think of the update, as Redtunnel said, they could implement it and then change it back and fuck us over again.

If they do release it, then it does open up a lot of quests for skillers (which I like) but 3 combat skills at 99 and being level 4 sounds so over the top.

Lilly, 99 hp would be ~2200ish zeals at Soul Wars. Prayer is like 150m currently and summoning... Would just be shit unless you have friends who can lootshare charms for you. (inb4magnus has2006 in a week)

New lowest level 4, does it really change something? No. Level 4 is just new level 3. After update skillers are just known for being level 4.
About Summoning, Hitpoints and Prayer. I believe you don't really understand what it means for skillers. Firstly, already maxed skillers can have new skills to train.  Secondly, these skills are very useful in skilling. Summoning gives many many many amazinf familiers, which boost your skills and make grinding easier and faster. Higher hitpoints, super useful in LRC. Prayer, you can use protection prayers, again very useful in LRC.

And all these so called 'skillers', who have level 2 in att, str or def, I am laughing. You're a skiller, you are NOT supposed to train combat skills. You can blame only yourself, not jagex.

The idea of change is scary. I am content with new skills, but will the new formula be here to stay? Will it be adjusted in response to feedback? Will combat be changed again in, say, 5-10 years from now? How will the skillers as a community adjust to this, with the current level 3 hiscores and such? Will there be a ton of glitches in combat situations, which may result in involuntary XP gains?

If a player gains combat by a glitch, do you consider it to be the player's fault too?

You can't go around assuming he hasn't played on a combat account before.

I have played on both a main and a skiller - I thoroughly enjoy the game a lot more as a skiller.

I say let's wait and see what happens. Whether you like it or not it will most likely be implemented and that's how we are going to have to play ;; Either adjust or quit

I do feel bad for the skillers that have accidentally gained 1 total in a CB stat Will be sad to not see them on the level 4 skiller list.

The system is fine as it is at the moment. I can't see many positive responses from this.

I see the opportunities of having summoning as a skiller's skill, although, it just doesn't seem right. They should keep the old system.

They may as well reset the whole game.
