The update on 3 May 2012 included the Optimus platform.
“    Hi Everyone,
Today's release has seen the introduction of the Optimus platform in place of many older build systems. As you've seen, this means that the recent performance issues have be resolved for almost all players, although there are still some engine updates being worked on to improve performance even further in various areas.
Optimus is not a change to the game engine itself, but a library that allows us to develop fixes to these sorts of issues very quickly. While today's update has already acted as another nuke to bots, it was targeted towards performance improvements and so is just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to bot prevention. Optimus will allow us to introduce various anti-bot measures seamlessly, regularly, and without reducing performance heavily. We also have another huge update in development along side all of this to break bots of every kind (not just 'inflection' bots). There's a lot coming in the near future; watch this space!

The Bot Nuke will target the more popular injection and reflection bots, and removing colour bots will be a side-project - as shown in the quote by Mark Gerhard above.

If the nuke is a success like the last one, then prices would go crazy again.

I would stock up on some resources that are farmed by the bots, they may go up in price.

Hopefully this update will help kill the reflection bots.

Yes there are. From what I seen while mining and doing other skills.  This what I have notice

lots(lost track of how many people i saw cause it just to many) of people boting all types of mining/crafting/combat in English worlds ,1 person boting iron mining in German worlds and 0 bots in French world

Someone said in the clan chat it will be happening in July. If they are right, I'm guessing the bot nuke will be this Tuesday :p

Honestly, bot nukes don't do anything. They just temporarily stall them for about a month then bots like powerbot/RSBot are back in business.

Optimus really happened? If so, I have not noticed.

Today it's not only possible to get 200m XP by botting, it is quite common. Take a look at hunter hiscores:
