Full Grand Exchange support is now available in the RuneScape Companion App, so you can buy and sell items on the go!
This feature is open to all players who are using the new RuneScape Authenticator to help ensure the security of your items, as well as Bank PIN support. If you are a JAG user you will also need to speak to the Grand Exchange Tutor in-game to enable the feature after switching on the Authenticator.
You will still be able to access the app without the RuneScape Authenticator enabled. However, you will not be able to use it to buy or sell items on the Grand Exchange.
If you haven't already, give it a go!
How Does it Work?
Items bought and sold using the app will move between the GE and your bank, rather than your inventory, in order to avoid exploits.
Any item you wish to sell via the app needs to be in your bank, and if you wish to buy an item make sure you have space in your bank.
Money will move to and from your money pouch.
Based on your feedback, there is no cap on the number of transactions you can make per day via the app.
However, we'll be keeping an eye on this to ensure that it doesn't cause imbalance or allow exploits. Should it be necessary, we'll work with you to agree a sensible limit.
It is also worth noting that while you can buy or sell Bonds via the app, you will not be able to redeem them or make them tradeable without logging into the game.
The next update for the Companion will be to release it on the iOS and Android stores as a standalone app. We'll keep you informed on progress in the news.
As always, we welcome any feedback or comments on our current or planned features. Please visit and post on the RuneScape Companion forums and let us know what you think.
