Mad May and Wild weekends.
« on: April 20, 2012, 18:08:13 »
Throughout May, we’ll be offering a series of magnificently mad bonuses to RuneScape members.

Every day over the course of May, RuneScape members will receive a bonus daily spin on the Squeal of Fortune. If you’re a member for the whole of May, not only will you receive the extra spins, but you’ll also get the following:

5000 Loyalty Points
An item which doubles XP gained, up to a total of 250,000 XP.
All this, in addition to the monstrously cool content coming your way in May (keep an eye out for Behind the Scenes, coming soon), means there’s never been a better month to be a member.

We’ll also be bringing you something different – but always amazing - each weekend during May. We won’t say what these Wild Weekends will entail just yet, but keep an eye on the website’s news section for details. All will be revealed very soon!

If you have any questions, head on over to our FAQ.

The RuneScape Team

What do you think of this guys? I'm pretty excited.

At this rate, in a few months I should have a big gun to my head with "JaGeX" written all over it, demanding my bank account.

An item that gives double EXP?

At least that will encourage me to train runecrafting a bit more ;)

I think that this looks good, but i don't like how they're slowly ridding of all f2p content and will eventually have a pretty much pointless f2p. However extra exp, so i won't complain :D

You will not become mem until you go on your e-mail and click a link.

And you have to click the email to register and log in to your account, making genuine F2p accounts now 'rare'. It does seem F2p is being phased out.

This is great for members but I think Jagex are almost treating f2p as if it doesn't exist anymore.

All members get an additional spin. How does this work?

If you’re a member, simply log in each day throughout May and you’ll get a bonus spin in addition to the 2 free spins you would normally receive.

How do I get the Loyalty Points and the Bonus XP reward?

You’ll need to have membership credit from the 1st to the 31st of May inclusive. From the 1st of June onwards, if you’re eligible, you’ll receive your rewards as soon as you log in. Don’t worry; it doesn’t matter where you are in the world - it will still work.

What are these Wild Weekends going to entail?

It’s so wild you’ll just have to wait and see! Keep an eye on the website for more details of the Wild Weekends coming up!

How does the Bonus XP reward work?

If you’re eligible for the reward, you’ll receive an item in your inventory or bank the first time you log on from the 1st of June onwards. This item will double any XP you earn. Once you’ve earned a total of 250,000 bonus XP, the item will disappear
