Can they really call this free considering you have to BUY something to get it? I know you'd still have the full game points you purchased, but it just doesn't feel "free".

I don't get the hate about the card items/bonuses.

In the end, you're paying to get something you want. Sure, it might be a bit more than your monthly sub, but you're getting more than that out of it in the form of w/e item/extra is included. Why shouldn't this be a lil more costly than normal membership?

And they were never exclusive items, it was often mentioned that Jagex would bring a way to get the rewards up in a different way (or just run the same promotion again). Just think of all the card-paying subscribers who hollered that it was unfair. They were placated by the items being re-obtainable at a later stage - although I don't figure anyone expected just how long it would take :xd:

As to this being free, no it's not. It's just another promotion. "Free" is just a commonly-used marketing ploy.

So again, if you want something, get it. Otherwise don't. Maybe the deal will come back at a later stage, maybe it wont, and you'll have missed out. That's life.
