"Problem 1: There is already too much content in the game, making it quite confusing to pick up"
Soooo... They're solution to having too much content... Is to add more content? I mean that's not I'd do but I'll just assume they know more than me, which is a pretty safe bet. Removing content isn't an easy choice to make I'm sure, but I'm glad they've stated they're willing to do it.
Problem 2: We’re trying to do too many different things at once
NO WAY! LIES!!!
Bosses - I like the idea of KBD, Barrows, and Jad being updated. Bosses with a lot of history in the game, but are now complete pushovers because EoC makes them A LOT easier to beat. I can fight all of the barrows brother all day long and never once have to eat any food. KBD, same thing. Not much more challenging than normal dragons tbh. Jad is all about switching prayers and killing his healers. That's it. Do that, and he's a goner. The biggest problem though is that I don't want huge remasters to come so fast that it makes learning PvM almost impossible and not interesting because it's too difficult for those who aren't already a pro at it.
Encounters and Drops - No thoughts at this time.
Asynchronous Minigames - I am totally behind this. I've been saying that they just need to stop making new activities and just focus on the development of those that already exist. I'm glad that is the plan now.
Quests - Something I've been EXTREMELY vocal about for the past 3 years; is quests. I feel like quests don't mean as much as they used to. It's become a lot like all of the other content releases the past several years. They just spew crap out so they can say "we have new content all the time!" Rather than having a super in-depth story to follow like before. The Lucien quests series is, in my opinion, the best thing they've ever made. It was on the short side (the quests themselves were looong though) but they just NAILED it in only 3 quests! Sliske was 6 quests and I'm going to be honest with you, it was dragged out WAY too long. The Lucien series proved that less is more as long as you make every little thing count. Quests are arguably my favorite thing about the game and a big reason I still play. I'd hate to start losing interest because they are failing to keep my attention.
Landmasses - No comments at this time.
Skilling - No comments.
Level 120 - Nothing major I need to say. But they better make it worthwhile if people are going to spend dozens of more hours playing and working on these skills.
New skills - Same thing as quests lmao. I don't think making new skills just for the sake of having more skills is a good thing to do. But if they do, it better seamlessly coincide with the rest of the game as it currently is and not completely change the way we play again making it more confusing than it already is.
Problem 3: The war with dead content
The main problem to me is way too fricking much new content that STILL has no real draw to it. Instead of like I just said in quests, "spewing crap out" there has to be a way to make revisiting existing content worthwhile again. Would certainly eliminate the need to create entirely new land masses like Land Out of Time every 8 months.
"It’s also worth noting what the team won’t be making. We won’t be working on temporary content - we want our content to enrich the game in the long term. We also won’t be making world events, random events, minigames, D&Ds, new content types, or huge lavish quests that have no connection to the current narrative."
FINALLY! I'm growing tired of all of this content that looks rather big and only having it be around for a weekend or a month. Because really nobody uses them in the first place. There has to be a better use of their time in this regard.
