Hey everyone,

We kicked off this year with the mission to make 2013 the year of the player, where you have a direct impact on the future of the game. Whether it be through polls and votes, content updates like the current world events, or interacting directly with the community through social media and events, we remain 100% committed to this and continue to make great progress on this pledge. We’re continually working on ways to get closer to the community, especially with regards to ongoing development of the current game RuneScape 3 as well as the Old School service.

Through video, live streaming and social media we continue to enhance our community-centric ethos. We’ve looking into members of the community who have a positive impact on the game or community growth, whether it be through social media, clans, fan sites, video or live streaming.

So with that we are proud to announce and welcome the latest three members of the Jagex family: Regicidal, So Wreck3d, & Silentc0re all represent the diverse, committed, passionate and dynamic nature of RuneScape. I believe their addition to the team will continue to reinforce the even stronger connections between Jagex and the RuneScape community.

So, what will they initially be doing?

• Our YouTube channel management.
• Our Twitch channel management.
• Community video-based competitions for RS (Golden Gnomes) and OSRS.
• Supporting the video-making community to promote more of your videos.
• RuneScape 3 live-streaming and growing the existing RuneScape video-making community.
• Old School Live Streaming and supporting the existing OSRS video making community.

And this is just getting started! We are all looking forward to doing significantly more video and social media activities going forward.

out of the 3 that got it, Regicidal would be my fav pick, he went to jagex, he helped with an idea and he's been dedicated to making videos no matter what has been going down, Silentc0re has been involved in drama on youtube with Chris Archie, making people hate on Chris, and also tried to get shit going on a guy called WingsOfRedemption, he also spent so much time complaining about eoc and what not, just like So Wreck3d did, spent so many months complaining about eoc without even seeming to try it out, but yeah I agree, Smokey would be awesome as a jmod, but oh well, these 3 are a good start, hopefully more of the dedicated Youtubers get offered jobs in the future too.

Problem is that most genius minds required to make runescape better are not big youtubers with heaps of subs, imo most of the big youtubers out there are not jmod material and just make vids for the youtube gp's

I guess, but the 3 got hired to work with controlling twitch, youtube and competition stuff, this is things Jagex know that they are especially good at, due to their high sub base and viewer base, plus they needed speaks people for the community, these 3 are big in the community, everyone knows them. But maybe in the future they'll realize how great Smokey is and hire him to get his input in how to improve the game, he's got some amazing ideas and is one of my fav youtubers aswell in terms of how helpfull most his vids are

they should have made nightmarerh, jebrim and chris archie jmods instead ffs.
