TH vs Regular Runescape updates

If you haven't already seen this on the RS homepage, then oh boy, do I have a treat for you. A new TH event is going to be running from the 15th of March until the 19th which brings two new sets of armour with it.

We've just recently had a clue scroll overhaul update and with it came some new second-age armour, here they are:

I just wish everything would look as good on release as the TH items are.

These new armours look amazing; its just such a shame to see all great armour / graphics resources go into TH items!

That’s unfortunately the way it is these days; with MTX taking over the way games are run etc. It’s a shame to see their creativity go into paid-for armours though I quite agree. The only upside to this is that it’s only cosmetic (I think) which is better than the constant xp promos they had an uproar about!

lol, but I'd still rather have cosmetic MTX (not that we aren't getting impactful MTX too...)

I'd also prefer cosmetic MTX over anything, but when it looks significantly better than anything released through in game means, it becomes a joke. Those new TH armours are amazing, with moving particles and everything. While 2nd age armour is dull and has flat textures. It's an insult.

I would rather have these TH cosmetic outfits than overpowered XP/BXP promos.

Do you mean an actual item like the Lucky Bandos Godsword compared to an override of the Lucky Bandos Godsword?

This was the exact response people were saying on Reddit, when we had those god-awful RNG TH events. I forget what it was called, it was like a slot game, it didn't go down well at all. I think most people would be happy with cosmetics/items over XP.
