Old Runescape Memories
« on: May 16, 2014, 21:43:09 »
In (runescape)life we face hard times, to overcome those hard times we sometimes think back to what it used too be. We think about the good things that we once did or got. So I want to know what are youre good Runescape memories, this could be getting your first skillcape, maybe killing bandos for the first time, adding your first runescape friend.

One of my good runescape memories getting 99 woodcutting, my first skillcape after woodcutting for a long time I finally got that skillcape and I remember I had dragon plegs and a torso back then and I thought I looked really cool with woodcutting cape a godsword and that armor I remember my noob days even tho I was a noob they were prob the more fun days compared too now.

Indeed the noob days were the best, i remember in my first month or so playing i was mining silver and selling each inventory for 600gp and thinking by doing that i would be able to afford whatever i wanted to, it felt it was so much money lol, also months later i was picking red spider eggs in varrock sewers selling them 300ea in the forums so i could afford full rune (t) i was free to play and getting that first trimmed set felt so good.
Later memories are my first 99 it was fletching i got it at around 6am, i was awake all night without my parents knowing it so i could get 99 that day, because i was flying to London in that morning and would be a week without playing, during that week in London i regretted it because i got 99 bought the cape did the emotion went to sleep and just saw that beauty one week later, like after such rush to get the cape it took me a week to be able to properly contemplate it. Also remember skipping a full day of school to do monkey madness, and yes it took me pretty much all day to complete monkey madness for the first time, in the end i was so happy.
What i miss the most is the happiness that the game gave me during those years, in the worst days a good drop from some boss or something like that would make it feel the best day ever.
Nowadays i can't sense such happiness from the game anymore :c

My best memory would probably be when slayer came out.

All my friends and I would see who had the best account. Even though we had no idea how to train slayer effectively!

I remember when I used to take noobs to the vampire in Draynor Manor, I would tell them if they opened it they'd get loads of good items. After that I would wait for them to die and then take their stuff but I mostly did it because it was funny.
I was a cruel person.

What I remember was the times I spent at Draynor, cutting Willows at Port Sarim and then burn them. That was my way to get to 60 Woodcutting. Also remember my first 99, Firemaking. I spent 2 weeks (I had a holiday) in Fist of Guthix, Firemaking for 10-12 hours, with a consistent EXP rate of 100k xp/hr, which was pretty nice of myself, considering it was around 2009. :> Never been motivated, consequent and consistent on Runescape, I think.

Helping someone's skiller account out with something and their main logged on and have me 30k, that was a fortune at the time to me!! Was Eliza182 or something like that - interesting to know if they still play.

Also died with a green h'ween mask when they were about 18m - ran back to varrock and bought it off the person who picked it up for 3m!

Just have been 2007 or before lol!

I remember way back in the day when me and my best friend irl first did dragon slayer and I got my rune plate.  He chose the d hide body because he was obsessed with ranged, but never the less.  We felt like gods among men that day.

I remember when I got all the requirements for the Dragon Slayer quest I was so freaking happy, and when I got to the actual with with Elvarg (the dragon, don't remember its name) I was so nervous. Ahhh those memories :) :L

My first ever memory was getting killed by a woman - I clicked her thinking that was how to get her attention and then she kept hitting me and killed me. I was confused as I thought the man and woman NPCs were other players. :P

My best memories though were playing Clan Wars with a group of online friends I met outside RuneScape (we're all actually still in a Facebook group chat which we talk to each other in regularly) and the funniest memory was trying to complete Monkey Madness together. I miss those days so much. <33 I'm the only one out of that group who still plays.

My friend showing me his ~320k cash stack and me thinking he was loaded. Getting horribly lost before being killed by goblins behind lummy (where crater is now). Having to run to varrock and being annoyed my agile lvl wasnt high enought o use the style shortcut. I remember seeing a ss special attack at anakus and really wanting one, then ending up with full dharocks instead as i gave up trying to save the 15m needed.
