New Polls [14/2/14]
« on: February 14, 2014, 12:03:38 »

What does everyone think of the new polls? What have you voted for and why?

Personally, I've chosen for the 138 combat, although I definitely feel neither are the best. Both have their upsides and downsides, however I feel 138 is harder to obtain, and gives more of a sense of achievement to gain it, and you can tell more about the players combat side than you can with 200. They will need to separate attack and strength in the formula to make it work properly however, as that is why you could never gain max combat with range or magic. You needed about a total of 3 attack and strength levels to gain a combat level or you needed about 4 Magic or ranged levels separately to gain a combat level.

As for holiday items, I voted no. Even if they are going to look different from the originals, I doubt they would be that much different, perhaps a changed colour, I don't know. But it devalues the originals, even if they are untradable. Players that have been playing for a long time deserve something nice and unique to recognize that they have been there for a long time.

The divination familiar is an odd one really. Right away I blanked out the beast of burden because the only use I feel it would have is banking the enriched memories for dxp weekends which don't happen often enough to make it worthwhile. [I feel it's highest because most people don't read the description, and don't realize that it only carries memories] Logically to me, the forager makes no sense, where is it getting the energy it finds from? It may be a bit useful, but probably only for the signs/portents that it grabs occasionally. The chronicler is likely the worst idea on there, save an inventory space and save about 2 mins when you have 10 to turn them in. Other than the mobilizing armies location most locations are far away from a obelisk and a bank meaning that you'll either use inventory spaces for pouches, or waste more time getting pouches and summoning points than the time you save not having to turn in your chronicles. The booster seems most logical, gives you an increase to your boon (Probably from 10% xp/energy to maybe 15% xp/energy,) it gives you an increase in the amount of items you can collect from divine locations, and it increases the number of items sent off by your signs of the porter probably a 20% increase or something along those lines.

Yes to 138 combat.
Yes to holiday items, only tight-arse elitists are crying to cry because they want to be original and be the minority with them. I have old holiday accounts on all different accounts and I'd like to get them back.
I picked Divination booster familiar not like it makes any difference to me since I won't be able to use unless it's based on div level and not summ.

Yes to 138 Cb.
Shame to those who spent the EXP on Pray / HP if it goes through. Least they offer a rollback,

Yes to 138
No to event items
Divine Chronicler seems to be the most useful to me, since I usually just caught the chronicles then destroyed at 10. Don't really see the point of a Divination B.o.B. since you're pretty close to the crater anyway

As for others I am unsure until I read more into detail.

I like that a thread has been made for the polls. What a good idea :)

Yes to 138, although I would have preferred a new, more balanced combat formula.
Yes to event items. I don't use them to show off how long I have played this game. Does anyone?
Forager, it would cause the price of energy to fall, and old habits die hard – I don't like to spend cash.

Yes to 138, although I would have preferred a new, more balanced combat formula.

This was more a poll to see if people prefered the old formula to the new formula. They have said they will likely rework parts of it, probably to make it fair since it used to be only players with max atk+str that could be maxed, magic and ranged were about 12 levels behind or so. Prayer I feel will likely be left out of the formula, however constitution will probably still be part of it.

It will be the same as the old formula with Prayer and HP back in it but they'll be making range/magic have more of an impact on the combat level, or so I have read
