Also, ughh with the not having protection prayers protect from monsters.  Like, what is the point of even putting them on?

Because if you don't pray against dark beasts you get destroyed at the MEP1/2 place when cannoning.

Amongst other places, of course.

While i was doing it as a sarcastic remark but yeah i guess. What I mean is, i don't understand why they boosted protection prayers to 50% in pvp, 25% was fine, yet they can't change protection in PVM/training to 100%? Or even 75%, what's the point?
I'm assuming it's to balance damage dealing, possibly due to special attacks

For some creatures Protection Prayers do block 100% of the damage. (technically it blocks like 99% and they deal a max of 10 every hit, this is mostly for creatures where a lot attack you at once, like Dagannoths and Dark Beasts so that you can actually survive.)

The reason they aren't doing it for everything is because it's incredibly unbalanced, to take no damage when praying against any non-boss monster would be overpowered, whilst as it stands SS makes things overpowered anyway, that is end-game content, whilst Protect from Melee/Range/Mage are all very low level prayers that anyone can do with no prerequisites.

[Just think of 07 where if you have an ok Prayer level, decent Prayer gear and Pray pots (Wrench if required), that's what you bring to pretty much every slayer task you do, it ends the repetitiveness of that and makes people actually do combat properly.]

There are a few other points I can think of but they're small so I didn't include.

Well, okay. It makes a little more sense now. If I die to a quest monster with pray on though, imma be a little heated.

lol. I don't understand why a majority of pkers actually prefer this instead of an interactive and challenging combat system. Is it because 1) It takes too much effort to learn EoC combat or 2) PvP in EoC is so broken and/or dead that it's better to revert back to the old system?

I read the whole of this and the only conclusion I've come to is I'm stuck a failed skiller now so I mayaswell get combat. Since I never learned EoC Legacy mode will suit me best..

Either that or make Yessahh v2 and take another 6 years to max :P

Are you allowing pures to roll back stats?

Yes, we’re currently investigating a very limited set of rollback packages. This will not be a rollback free-for-all however! We’re looking at allowing skill pures to reset their Constitution and Prayer, and defense pures to roll back their Defence.

These will be controlled rollbacks, only available in certain conditions. We have more investigation to do, but we hope to have something available shortly after Legacy Mode launches.

I wonder if that will be before or after the new skill that was due out last year
