Who showed/told you about the game?

I knew of the game for a really long time, but my friend who plays OSRS daily finally got me in. I played through the tutorial of OSRS and RS3 and ultimately picked RS3. Been almost 2 months now. =p

My first best friend. She played it together with her brother. She said only 2000 people could play at a time so it was 'a big secret and don't tell anybody'. She wispered the name to me. We played that same day. I got hooked on mining and smithing lol

I saw it advertised whilst playing another game at school, so thought I’d give it a go. Had everyone in my year playing it but the last player unfortunately from my year quit 3years ago

We're not friends anymore, we lost contact about 6-7 years ago. But when I logged in back in 2017, her name was replaced with #lots of numbers and letters.

I didn't find Runescape, Runescape found me....

On a serious note, everyone in my school played back in 2006-2007. They all quit a few months later but I continued and have been playing on and off for 14 years now.. (IS IT REALLY THAT LONG ALREADY?!?!?!)

That reminds me
When I was in ICT class one day, everyone circled around this guy Hamza because he was 'the real PK king with his 78 range'. And I remember picking up the convo and thinking to myself hahahaah neeeeewb I'm 88 range! But I never spoke up because I was a girl.
Long story: I liked (and trusted) a guy, gave him my first ever account as a valentine gift. Years later we went to the same high school and him and his friend would yell 'rune scimitar!!!' at me in the hallway. Needless to say I no longer liked the guy, and I was afraid to ever mention RS again IRL.

I wanted to like OSRS so bad, that way I could... but it just didn't grab me. RS3 is awesome and I need the graphics / updates / new content etc.

Haha yea I know what you mean. In highschool everyone knew I was almost maxed and played Runescape a lot but it was a friendly atmosphere as long as I remember it. But I was in a class where everyone played video games so I guess it was a bit different. We even joked about me going with a Max cape in school when I maxed but that would just be weird of course... xD But today I'm actually more quiet about that I play rs3.. Not sure why tho :o

A Family member who doesnt play anymore back around 2006 ish (My account is 15 next October). I have taken breaks, so yeah been playing solidly since 2015. When I have time!

I discovered Runescape in elementary school, around 2005, I believe.

My best friend at the time, Jared, had invited me over to his house, under the premise of showing me his "cool new computer game".

It was Runescape. In 2005. His username was Scampy1212 and I was Mallorie2. Such a simpler time.

I spent my days killing chickens and cutting oak trees. He quickly lost interest in the game.

My interest grew life-long.
