Hello Consentus.
I was about to post in the introduction section, but it says the image file I wish to submit is to large. It is about 1 meg in size.
How do I reduce the file size?
I am new to runescape and mmo's altogether. I have early access play test status to rs3 mobile, so I am doing this all on my tablet.
Do I need to use something like a photo bucket, to host the picture and then share it from there? I specifically use that example as photobucket has a membership fee, so I want to another provider. I was able to copy the file link, but I can not paste that link into the attachments section here!

Hi! @DarcLegion8

The upload option on the forum is unfortunately capped to a filesize.

Instead, (and also the easier option) you can upload a picture to any upload website.

A popular and probably the best known one is Imgur.
Click here to upload a picture to Imgur.

If you click the link above, you will get the following options:

Simply drag a file there, or choose a file on your computer. (Additionally you can paste an url of any picture online.)

After you have selected a picture, it will bring you to the next screen.

You will see the following:

As you can see, you will have the option to 'Copy Link' when you hover your mouse over the picture you just uploaded.

Press this button, and you will copy the link.
If you paste it anywhere, for example in a thread on this forum, you will paste the link to that image. Simple as that!
However, to show the picture, instead of the link, you will have to do a few things.

this is an example of the link you will get:

If you add '.png' behind this link, you will link directly to the picture, instead of the website.

it will look like this:

https://imgur.com/D5RBaZ8.png

Theres one last step though!

If you look in the text editing options, you will see an 'insert Image' button.

It looks like this:

If you press this button , some code will be posted in your typing box.

it looks like this:
Code: [Select]
[img][/img]
Simply paste the link you got earlier, including the .png, between the start and end of the code.

Ofcourse, ill give you an example of how it looks like:

Code: [Select]
[img]https://imgur.com/D5RBaZ8.png[/img]

Thats it!

It looks like alot of steps, but after doing it a few times, youll get used to it!

This would be the end result:

Code: [Select]
[img]https://imgur.com/D5RBaZ8.png[/img]
Enjoy this Chicken Nugget!

If you need more help, or if anything isnt clear enough, feel free to let me know!

@DarcLegion8

Yes, like redtunnel already said its the exact same!

however, in the signature part in the settings you cant click the buttons to have the code appear.

You would have to write the code yourself, or copy paste it in there :D

Haha, it's all good :P I'm hoping in a not too distant future to eliminate the need of using these image tags at all. BBCode is a little obsolete

So I am trying to add this image as my sig. A sort of banner representing the duality between light and dark, good and evil.

https://photos.app.goo.gl/2eyu3g9HpDFTy1k27

What have I done wrong or missed, that means it does not work?

Dont worry if you cant help. The duality between good and evil is about to be settled by evil, so I may not need this banner after all?

@DarcLegion8 try uploading the image to a hosting site like imgur.com.  The link for the google apps just isn't working.  I checked and fixed your coding and it's the link that's not working.

Your a star.
I just stared using Flickr, as I didn't like imgur app and imgur web site no longer supports mobile traffic.
I think you just saved my dignity  \:D/

I got this link from Flickr. I have not added any code to it, but it does not work. It is not using google image services.

@Aqua

Oh my lord. Aqua, you are amazing. Thank you so very much.
I am sure that I tried the exact same code that you have used, with the [img] bits and png thingy. But could I make it flippin well work?

Obviously I did it wrong, but I look better if techknowledgy was at fault, and I was perfect  8)

Thank you Aqua. That was really cool of you.
