"Swearing is a really important part of one's life. It would be impossible to imagine going through life without swearing and without enjoying swearing... There used to be mad, silly, prissy people who used to say swearing was a sign of a poor vocabulary -such utter nonsense. The people I know who swear the most tend to have the widest vocabularies and the kind of person who says swearing is a sign of a poor vocabulary usually have a pretty poor vocabulary themselves... The sort of twee person who thinks swearing is in any way a sign of a lack of education or a lack of verbal interest or -is just a fucking lunatic... I haven't met anybody who's truly shocked at swearing, really, they're only shocked on behalf of other people. Well, you know, that's preposterous... or they say 'it's not necessary'. As if that should stop one doing it! It's not necessary to have coloured socks, it's not necessary for this cushion to be here, but is anyone going to write in and say 'I was shocked to see that cushion there, it really wasn't necessary'? No, things not being necessary is what makes life interesting -the little extras in life." - Stephen Fry on the joys of swearing. Stephen Fry: Guilty, BBC4, September 8th 2007

That is quite funny :P i thought it was from your own words then.

I take that as a compliment you would think I'm intelligent enough to come up with that :D

Tommy, there are members who are on forums and not the clan, I would like to be one of those.  2 examples are Ardo and Ashy.

why do i get dragged into everything?:P

the only reason i aint in the cc is coz im already part of another.
and i have never "left" any part of cts either.
i have never posted a leaving thread.

while i can understand some amounts of frustration, making a rant within a leaving post is possibly not the correct way to go about it.
especially targeted ones naming specific names and specific aspects.

I made a thread to say my opinions, so people know my side of the story - agreed with bates, some things could have been done in pm. there is such a phrase as airing dirty laundry, and doing in pm not public is more maturely done, tho if a person does not wish to do it in pm as they feel others "have a right to know" whats happened to them, one shud undertake it more tactfully.

i wish u the best of luck in ur rs career and to take care

(btw @ bird table, the first time i swore irl around  my mum i got bitch slapped, and it continues as she is very victorian and prim and proper:P and she is shocked at swearing...even tho my dad can swear like a sailor!!) but neverthe less, a very good quote from stephen fry ^^

I still don't really know whats the ins and outs of the argument despite reading the whole thread. As I have done throughout I'll support Lilly's decision, she's never steered me wrong yet. The thing I have picked up is that there have been things mentioned that shouldn't have been, as said before, things like this should be kept to PM. I agree with Liam's point to, this should be renamed 'let's argue'. You say you're mature enough to handle a rank yet you react like this without it? I'm not having a dig I'm just saying.. You're not really proving your point.

Anyway, Take care Tim. Hopefully you'll still remain active on forums like you've said and maybe one day this will blow over.

I'm not sure if I should even bother with a post here, but I feel I should, if nothing else so I can't regret it later, I also have a feeling this thread will be locked soon.
-Rightly so as well, judging from some of the earlier posts of the thread.

To Tim,

Quote
Consentus was supposed to be a clan with harmony, harmony doesn't mean you can't have a skype call where it gets slightly inappropriate, and it also doesn't mean you can't be friends with the members that aren't staff like some seem to think.

"friends with the members that aren't ...."
Without knowing the story at all, which I believe gives me an unbiased opinion on this whole topic. At no point has anyone been stopped from being friends with non-staff in my experience, so I am certain that you are mistaken, there is no logical reason for this to happen - So I will assume this is a misunderstanding.

By "Slightly Inappropriate" this is so widely arguable it's difficult to talk about it, so I won't. 8)

Quote
The staff I thought were supposed to be there to be helpful and friendly, but I guess it's only friendly to people who have no strikes against them and no complaints.

If you thought this was a problem, why didn't YOU do something about it? Why didn't YOU involve and include people with "strikes and complaints".

Quote
Lilly, you said I'm not mature enough to be a cc mod, but have you thought maybe it's not me? You seem to be annoyed at every little inappropriate thing I say, when others can get away with much worse stuff.

I don't think you're mature enough either, personally, and I think it is you. I've heard you question why I am a CC Mod. I know this was most likely a joke but it doesn't really matter.  (I don't know why either if I'm honest.) [please don't deny this.]

You do seem to constantly send immature and sometimes stupid messages either in-game or not. But it's that relevant to this discussion and thread, I don't think.

An example

Quote
Cambrim, I love you man, let's keep in touch, and we'll keep our movie nights going with or without the consent of some people.

It's like you're deliberately TRYING to cause arguments by spiting others. It's just bad in general, why do it?

And then your demands, you've just made a post criticising Lilly and others, then expect to be given perks, the rest of that paragraph is almost like a threat, you should NOT be surprised at some of the things posted later in this thread.

Quote
I'm not leaving because I got demoted, I'm leaving because I got demoted for the most idiotic reason there could be.  I was demoted for hosting a movie night where I warned for the sake of those who cared that it could be slightly inappropriate.  If that's a reason to be demoted then I must be crazy.

Here you go again, finding reasons why it couldn't be at all your fault. I'm also not saying it is your fault. But you shouldn't push away any blame at all like this.

Your "demands" As I called them, whilst not unreasonable, it's a pretty simple rule that was added recently that answers this before you even needed to make this thread or anything else. Through wishing to retaliate back for being demoted you've made everything harder for yourself.

Quote
What have I done for the clan well let's see, I've tried to recruit people, I've stopped conversations before they happened, I've done my best I can.

I've seen you start arguments. You constantly swear, and whilst later on that incredible, vivid descriptive Stephen Fry quote was put into this thread, I'm ignoring it, as I don't find it THAT relevant to my post.

And for Para's post, why respond to it in that way Andrew?
-Leaving thread so he said Bye, doesn't matter AT ALL that it was his first post.

However, ignoring everything that I have said previously, Tim, have fun with whatever you do now. Whether you get what you asked for or not. Whether you ever come back to Consentus or not.

I'm going to stop finding things to talk about now, before I end up writing a novel.
