Howdy, to celebrate clan Consentus turning 5 years, we have decided to create a skill war for September.
The skillwar will begin on Monday, 14th September and will end on Monday, 21st September. The skillwar will consist of seven different events and will all last 24 hours each. Also, it's going to be a team vs team skillwar, so sign up for the team that you wish to join!
Each team will consist of 5 players - So if you're interested in taking part in any of the days, just post below, here's an example:
"Hey, I'd like to join Divination, Fishing, All skills for team Red".
Other information:
• Warbands are not allowed!
• Big Chinchompa is not allowed!
• Skilling outfits ARE allowed (Fury shark, fisherman, Golem).
• Declare any BXP you have prior to the skillwar - Alternatively you can use the BXP before the skillwar

Day 7 includes every RS skill, so you can train whichever you want really. Just please remember to declare any BXP you may have to make this a fair competition in the skills you are going to train! Thanks.

I'm okay with this. I have 99 Divination anyway, so it'd be exp waste if I'd be training it for a day straight. :P

Really good question, my initial idea was to add the total up and declare the winner that way .. So the team with the most XP from day 1 to 7 would be the winners. But as you said, there's an odd amount of number - Maybe we can see how much XP is gained, perhaps a team of 2 can beat a team of 5 if they aren't on/doing the best method.

Divide the XP by the number of members on the team.
Example:
Team A, 5 members and 20m XP gained:
20,000,000 / 5 = 4,000,000
Team B, 2 members and 9m XP gained
9,000,000 / 2 = 4,500,000
Team B would be the winner here because they had a higher average gain. Small teams may have a slight advantage in a system like this, though, because there's typically a greater chance that someone in a bigger team drops out unexpectedly and thus reducing the average gains. It's very situational :P

Even if every team had 5 players and gains were totaled like usual, you'd still encounter that problem.

Robert - if they are averaging - feel free to cut me loose - I will skill any day that I am on - but I know that I am on and off and am pretty unpredictable.

I had one of my workers quit a day before the skill war, so I'm working everyday during the war, it bites! I will be mining, but can't use seren stones yet! :'( I'll be helping you out though!

Day 5 was an amazing day for us yesterday! Everybody who took part did an impressive job. Meg, of course did brilliantly and led Team Robert to victory!

Thanks to everybody who participated and a huge congratulations to everyone on Team Lilly for coming first! There skillwar was a huge success and we had some huge achievements/progress through out the days.
However, with that being said, there was a huge flaw with the Runeclan tracking system. There was an incident where someone had logged out after mining just after the mining skillwar had started. In result, this gave them a huge advantage EXP wise. As well as this, there were also scores that were not counted and had to be added manually as I was training with them at the same time.
I have asked Redtunnel if it is possible for him to create a form of tracker for future skillwars, and I do believe that he is developing it. So hopefully we will have something far more reliable when it comes to our next Skillwar.
Also, I would like to see more staff members attending future skillwars.
