Wednesday 20th June, 12pm game time.

After an exciting opener against their Iberian rivals last week, Portugal will be keen to get a first win under their belt. Ronaldo ran the show against Spain scoring a hattrick to include a sublime late free kick to earn a draw. This is a must win if Portugal have any hopes of finishing top of the group. Will Cristiano step up again? Morocco will feel very hard done by, conceding a last minute own goal to a struggling Iran team. This is also a must win for them if they are to progress. I fear it may be the end of their tournament.

Portugal (@Krazy Golf) vs. Morocco (@Cherrycrush)

Ones to watch - Cristiano Ronaldo (Portugal) and Hakim Ziyech (Morocco)
Prediction - Portugal 3-1 Morocco

Wednesday 20th June, 3pm game time.

Uruguay were very disappointing in their first match. Luis Suarez looked slow and dejected, struggling to make an impact on the game. His strike partner, Cavani will be rueing those missed chances as Uruguay managed a late winner against Egypt thanks to one of their central defenders. They will have to be better if they have any ambitions of doing well in this tournament, especially with Russia cruising to 2 out of 2 wins. Saudi Arabia were demolished by the host nation in their opener and looked terrible on the ball. They simply have to pick up points here otherwise their tournament is over. I personally cannot see it and envisage an easy win for Uruguay.

Uruguay (@laralea) vs. Saudi Arabia (@Miss Mudds)

Ones to watch - Edinson Cavani (Uruguay) and Mohamed Al-Sahlawi (Saudi Arabia)
Prediction - Uruguay 3-0 Saudi Arabia

Wednesday 20th June, 6pm game time.

Iran are probably still celebrating from their last gasp winner against Morocco but they face much tougher opposition in Spain. They will have to work very hard chasing the ball, and it is difficult to see them getting anything here. Their best chance is to probably catch Spain on the counterattack as their aging centrebacks may not have the pace they once did. Spain will be looking for a strong performance here after being unlucky in their first game against Portugal. David De Gea, their goalkeeper, had a game to forget and will be wanting to redeem himself. I see him picking up a clean sheet here. Spain looked like Spain of old, playing some fluid football in their opener and I am confident they can get the win here. Diego Costa looked as sharp as ever, creating a goal from seemingly nothing.

Iran (@Mini Nub) vs. Spain (@Only Lilly)

Ones to watch - Ashkan Dejagah (Iran) and Diego Costa (Spain)
Prediction - Iran 0-4 Spain

Thursday 21st June, 12pm game time.

Denmark looked defensively solid in their opening match, even against a very attacking Peruvian side and should be credited here. A strike from their young star, Yussuf Poulsen, was enough to earn them a win and they will be feeling confident they can get the job done here again. Christian Eriksen was lacklustre in Denmark's initial game and will be looking to improve on this performance. Australia were disappointing in their first match, narrowly losing to France. They will feel unlucky in the way they conceded the decisive goal and see this as a must win game. Will their manager be brave and start Tim Cahill? He has performed for them so many times previously.

Denmark (@Only Matt) vs. Australia (@Nikkielauran)

Ones to watch - Yussuf Poulsen (Denmark) and Aaron Mooy (Australia)
Prediction - Denmark 1-0 Australia

Thursday 21st June, 3pm game time.

France were somewhat disappointing in their first match, struggling to get over the line against Australia, largely thanks to a freak goal from Paul Pogba. They looked a bit sharper once Blaise Matuidi entered the game and I think it would be wise to start him over Tolisso. The team selectors have made some interesting choices, leaving a lot of talented players out of their squad with the likes of Martial, Payet and Lacazette all missing. Will they go on to reject any of these omissions? Peru shocked many people, playing a fast paced and exciting style of football that was very refreshing to watch. They will feel hard done by against Denmark and created many chances to at least level the game. I am looking forward to seeing more of Peru and can see them picking up a point here.

France (@Karli) vs. Peru (@JK)

Ones to watch - Antoine Griezmann (France) and Jefferson Farfán (Peru)
Prediction - France 1-1 Peru

Thursday 21st June, 6pm game time.

Argentina were another team to disappoint in their opening match against a very well organised Iceland team. There is obviously a heavy reliance on Lionel Messi and he was often crowded out by the opposition in this match. The great man missed a penalty which ultimately cost Argentina the win and he will be keen to make things right. Sergio Aguero created a goal from nothing, proving once more he is one of the most clinical strikers on the planet. Hats off to Iceland though who looked solid and continue to impress on the international stage. Croatia too seemed shaky but managed to see off Nigeria no thanks to a penalty scored by key man Luka Modric. The match was poor and Croatia will have to be better. Croatia can ensure progression to the next round with a win here, but will have to improve going forward with players like Mario Mandzukic really stepping up to the plate.

Argentina (@Only Liam) vs. Croatia (@Tracie)

Ones to watch - Sergio Aguero (Argentina) and Ivan Perisic (Croatia)
Prediction - Argentina 2-1 Croatia

Saturday 23rd June, 12pm game time.

Belgium looked strong in their opener against Panama, with Romelu Lukaku scoring a brace and Dries Mertens firing home a spectacular goal. Is this squad of superstars finally gelling? Only time will tell but surely they face stronger opposition in Tunisia who will feel unlucky to lose out to England at the very last moment. They defended solidly for large portions of that game although lacked any real attacking threat. I think this will be costly for them today and I struggle to see anything other than a Belgian win and ultimately, elimination from the tournament for Tunisia.

Belgium (@Ardo) vs. Tunisia (@sheepprobe)

Ones to watch - Dries Mertens (Belgium) and Wahbi Khazri (Tunisia)
Prediction - Belgium 2-0 Tunisia

Saturday 23rd June, 3pm game time.

South Korea will feel unlucky, losing their opening fixture against Sweden thanks to a VAR-decided penalty. Probably the most effective use of the new system since it's introduction, the officials did well here and I think made a correct decision. Mexico played an exciting style of football in their first match, producing a huge shock to beat current holders Germany. Mexico were well organised and countered quickly against a lacklustre German side who will surely improve. Highly sought after winger Hirving Lozano scored the only goal of the game, how many clubs will be after his signature once the world cup finishes? I think this will be another close match with plenty of chances but see Mexico just edging it, effectively securing their progression.

South Korea (@2w) vs. Mexico (@Kobran)

Ones to watch - Son Heung-min (South Korea) and Javier Hernandez (Mexico)
Prediction - South Korea 0-1 Mexico

Saturday 23rd June, 6pm game time.

A big game for this household but also for millions of Germans! The current world champions were poor, to say the least, in their opening game against a very well organised and attacking Mexican team. Joachim Low will typically not make many changes to his squad but will be expectant of an improved performance. Expect to see Germany much quicker on the ball and playing the fluid football we know they can. Maybe the manager will opt for 2 strikers (to include Marco Reus) which will give them more attacking threat from the off. Sweden will still be celebrating after their opening victory against South Korea in what was another poor game, devoid of many chances. They can take a giant step towards progression to the next round with a win here, especially if Mexico win also. This is simply a must win game for Germany and should be the most exciting match today. I can see them just getting over the line in a very close match.

Germany (@Sissybear) vs. Sweden (@Alaklondewen)

Ones to watch - Joshua Kimmich (Germany) and Emil Forsberg (Sweden)
Prediction - Germany 2-1 Sweden

Sunday 24th June, 12pm game time.

England VS PANAMA

England created a lot of chances against Tunisia last time, struggling to really grab the game and run with it However captain fantastic, HARRY KANE stuck away 2 crucial goals, one being right towards the end of the game. England are on course to securing qualification if they win against Panama. Changes will be very important in this game, as temperatures are suppose to be sky high. England need to be winning games like this, after watching Belgium yesterday they must be thinking how can we react to that. Panama, In there first game against Belgium at times did play some really nice football, a team which are unit, really gel well as a team, its players like Marcus Rashford, who could really hurt Panama. I wouldnt rule off Panama, as even Gareth Southgate has came out said "Panama have some tricks up there sleeves". So we will have to find out, Can the 3 LIONS bring back 3 points?

England (@Henk) vs. Panama (@Oh Ella)

Ones to watch - Harry Kane (England) and Blas Perez (Panama)
Prediction - England 3-0 Panama

Saturday 23rd June, 3pm game time.

JAPAN VS SENEGAL

Japan, well everyone loves Japan, Fans coming in from all over the world to support Japan, a very impressive win over a good Colombian team. Shinji Kagawa, really is one of there world class players, completely bossed the game in the second half and will look to do the same again. Will they be cleaning up the stadium again if they win tomorrow? time will tell. However they up against strong opposition in Senegal, also coming off a 2-1 victory over a very impressive Poland team, this will be a fascinating game to watch, whoever is to win this game tomorrow, surely will be standing pretty good at the top of group H

Senegal (@BuyMoreKeys) vs Japan (@Rebeca)

Ones to watch - Shinji Kagawa (Japan) and Sadio Mane (Senegal)
Prediction - Japan 0 - 1 Senegal

Saturday 23rd June, 6pm game time.

A big game for them both in GROUP H! Both teams were poor, to say the least, in their opening game, despite being down to 10 men they really should of done better. Expect to see both teams really going for the jugular on this one, they both have to win to stand a chance in surviving, both teams really need to show there fans and their families what they can do. Some serious attacking threat from both teams with Poland having arguably one of the best strikers in the world in Lewandowski and Colombia having another world class striker in Falcao, Its going to be a game of the strikers, but who will come out on top. I can see it being a very tight game, chances have to be taken early on in the game to secure the win.

Poland (@ShaneGoesArd) vs. Colombia (@Aquanoise)

Ones to watch - Lewandowski (Poland) and Falcao (Colombia)
Prediction - Poland 2 - 1 Colombia

Monday 25th June, 2pm game time.

Both of these already eliminated teams will be playing for pride in this match. Saudi Arabia will be looking to score their first goal of the tournament after playing pretty poorly in their previous 2 games and will have to find some confidence to save face in this final game. Heartbreak for Mohamed Salah and Egypt who were eliminated from the tournament after a convincing defeat to Russia last week. Given the season Salah has had with Liverpool and now guiding the national team to their first world cup finals for some 20 years, he will feel hard done by and will be keen to impress here. I see an Egypt win here, hopefully Salah bowing out with another goal to his name.

Saudi Arabia (@Miss Mudds) vs. Egypt (@So Soft)

One to watch - Mohamed Salah (Egypt)
Prediction - Saudi Arabia 0-2 Egypt

Monday 25th June, 2pm game time.

Uruguay and Russia face off in an important game to decide the winner of Group A. Both will be keen to progress at the top of the table and hopefully avoid some giants in the knockout rounds. The hosts have looked the stronger of the two, scoring 8 goals in 2 games, whilst only conceding one. How much has home advantage played a part, or is there something more? Golovin and Cheryshov continue to impress but I think Dzyuba could be critical here. He has great presence in the air which could be vital against a solid Uruguayan defensive line. Uruguay have been disappointing in this tournament but looked more lively in their second match. The strike partnership of Cavani and Suarez will have to be at their best if they are to beat this well organised Russian side. I predict a very close game of few chances with the home nation just edging it.

Uruguay (@laralea) vs. Russia (@kev pass)

Ones to watch - Edinson Cavani (Uruguay) and Artem Dzyuba (Russia)
Prediction - Uruguay 1-2 Russia

Monday 25th June, 6pm game time.

Group B is wide open with 3 of the 4 teams still able to progress. Iran will feel unlucky in their second match against Spain and defended well for large portions of the game, but sadly could not hold out the masters of breaking down an opposition defence. A win here against Portugal will see them through to the round of 16 as group runners up. I struggle to see where their goals are coming from but they could spring a surprise. Portugal saw off Morocco yet again thanks to their star man, Cristiano Ronaldo. Will he perform once more and send his side through? Portugal still have a chance to top the group, depending on other results or if they can score several goals against this weak Iran team. I think they will opt to take matters into their own hands and should be aggressive in this match.

Iran (@Mini Nub) vs. Portugal (@Krazy Golf)

Ones to watch - Ashkan Dejagah (Iran) and Bernardo Silva (Portugal)
Prediction - Iran 0-3 Portugal

Monday 25th June, 6pm game time.

Spain are in a similar position to their Iberian neighbours, sitting on 4 points with exactly the same goals scored and conceded, making for an interesting finale to Group B. Spain managed to break down a solid Iranian defence eventually in what was a pretty boring game, but they got the job done. Like Portugal, they will be keen to finish as group leaders and I think will look to attack. Morocco have caused the other teams in this group a few problems and, despite their confirmed elimination, will go into this game confident. I believe they could steal a goal or 2 here, what implications will this have for Spain and the final group standings?

Spain (@Only Lilly) vs. Morocco (@Cherrycrush)

Ones to watch - David Silva (Spain) and Medhi Benatia (Morocco)
Prediction - Spain 3-1 Morocco

Tuesday 26th June, 2pm game time.

Australia VS Peru . Well well well, Australia could nick it here, if they were to win by 2 clear goals and Denmark loose be a heavy defeat we could be looking at potential Australia going through to the Round 16. So the ozzy's will be going all guns blazing in this won and hope the result from the other group goes there way. Peru are also looking like they wont be having there key man in Farfan due to being hospital recently. So this is all to play for. Excited times, could there be an upset on the cards in Group C. Tight game in stores for this one.

Australia (@Nikkielauran) vs. Peru (@JK)

Ones to watch - Tim Cahill (Australia) and Paolo Guerrero (Peru)
Prediction - Australia 1-0 Peru

Tuesday 26th June, 2pm game time.

Group C, the group which could completely changed depending on results. This could become quite a feisty game, with both teams wanting to cement top finish, who ever wins tops the group its as simple as that. France have looked a little sluggish at times but have been turning out with the W's however Denmark let it slip, with a draw and a win, sitting on 4 points. BUT if they were to do France other on this important game then it really could kick start Denmark it an easy running. France have some real talent on the pitch with players playing for top quality teams throughout the world. They really should be winning games like this, top 5 favorites to win the world cup, if they are to put in a decent performance tomorrow I really believe they can go far with this time round. Especially when you have players like Pogba, Greizmann & Mbappe in your front line, cant get much better then that really.

France (@Karli) vs. Denmark (@Only Matt)

Ones to watch - Paul Pogba (France) and Cristian Eriksen (Denmark)
Prediction - France 2 - 0 Denmark

Tuesday 26th June, 6pm game time.

Group D, well where to start here, Nigeria sitting pretty good at second at the moment and realistically only a win a way from progressing through to the round of 16..... Argentina will be looking to put serious pressure from the whistle, they really need to go for it from the minute that whistle goes. Messi and co really need to start getting on with it now before its way too late, they have the fire power going forward and the defense like a brick wall, but there doesn't seem to be enough in midfield not enough going forward into the two strikers MESSI & AGUERO!!! However Nigeria, coming off a very impressive 2-0 victory, with Musa bang in form who will be looking to counter attack Argentina all game long. Iwobi, has been tipped to start this game which a lot of fans are hoping for.

Nigeria (@Duck) vs. Argentina (@Only Liam)

Ones to watch - Ahmed Musa (Nigeria) and Lionel Messi (Argentina)
Prediction - Nigeria 1 - 2 Argentina

Tuesday 26th June, 6pm game time.

Last but not least the last group game of GROUP D will be Iceland vs Croatia, wow is all I have to say to this one, Croatia have arguably the best underrated Centre Midfields known to this world cup, Ivan Rakitic & Luka Modric. They ooooouseeee class all game every game, if these guys were to play for Spain, England, France or Brazil then we would be saying player of the tournaments, there that good! However, Iceland are a tough team to crack, solid back 4 with a holding midfielder there at all times. They are use to beating teams when they need to, and realistically they need to do it NOW. However I think the pure class from Croatia's two CM will be beyond Icelands reach. Personally believe that these really are the dark horse in this competition

Iceland (@Billy) vs. Croatia (@Tracie)

Ones to watch - Gilfy Sigurdsson  (Iceland) and Ivan Rakitic (Croatia)
Prediction - Croatia 2 - 0 Iceland

WHAT ARE YOU PREDICTIONS + @Only Lilly HOW DO YOU FEEL WITH SPAIN GOING THROUGH TOP OF THE GROUP?
