A quiz is supposed to be a level playing field, with knowledge being the key. As is stands now, the quiz is merely a speed typing contest. I think a complete overhaul of the points system is needed to make it fairer and therefore encourage more people to join perhaps? As for a new points system, I'm not too sure really. Will try and think of something.

What about a game show hosted over team speak? We could have 2 teams rather than have it being individualy scored. Each team has a word they say as their 'buzzer'. The person who uses the buzzer answers the question?

We could do answers by pm to the host and you have like 5 seconds to answer for a point. First answer only accepted. Stops copying and gives slower typists a chance. Probably need someone on a call with the host for that one to help out with scoring and timing.

Ooooor if meg always wins, we could do an everyone vs meg quiz? I'm sure she'd relish that challenge. :p

I've personally have never been on for the quiz because of my time zone but I agree with what a few are saying about it needing to be a level playing field.
As Red said, in other countries the titles of movies are different so music  could be  the option you are looking for, using all genres and eras. Music can also be broken down into criteria s such as,  Musical Theatre, Artists, Composers, Lead singers, Bands etc.......
Scoring could be 1 point per correct answer.

The only thing is, if it's not played in clan, or on forums, you are excluding the people who don't want, or don't  have Skype  or team speak. 
Maybe you need to do a post asking who will actually participate and on what median, then work from there.  If majority have team speak, then you  have already come up  with ways which would work including not excluding Meg 

Right, we can take feedback on board about uk based questions, it can be a bit difficult to know what you will and wont know so bear with us. The only thing I will say is that if you give an answer as it is in your country (for example, the title of a book) then cool, you should get the points.

How about in next week's quiz, this week's winner can take part but cannot score (not very nice to tell connor he can't play )?

Also, how about we change the time to 10pm BST which is 2 hours after the current quiz time. This would make the quiz happen 3 hours before reset? Would more people be interested in taking part?

I think you should get points every time, and if people are butthurt that they cant win type faster. It's simple

Saturdays at 10pm BST seems to be a good time for people. Lots of members took part last week so that's grand.

However, There's a bit of a disagreement on whether you should be able to win twice in a row. I'll put up a poll.

This is the list for volunteering to help with the quiz. It's just staff and Meg at the moment but you're quite right Nox, it should be open to all.

Please only add your name to write and/or host the quiz unless you are commited to it as I don't want to be chasing people up about it.
