Eurovision- Place your bets!

Eurovision. Whether you love to love or love to hate it, it's a bit of fun that comes around once a year. Yes you can just hate it too but why not embrace the overly-cheesy, try-hard acts where countries actively try not to win to avoid the cost of hosting the show next year?! This year's Final will be on saturday night (starting 8pm BST) and will run for a few hours.

I think it's time to place some bets on who you think is going to win it this year now that we have the full roster for the finals. To find out more about who's performing (or to look at the list to help you make your random selection), check out the Eurovision page here. If you'd like get a bit serious about this and look at some odds then here are William Hill's predictions (couldn't link william hill so here's the telegraph).

To those of you living outwith Europe, sorry. You probably haven't hear of this before and that was probably a blessing but you're in it now! Choose a country and get behind it like you were born and bred there. If anyone asks where you're from on Saturday, be prepared to proudly shout "Montenegro!" or y'know, whichever country you choose.

I'll be decorating my forum profile with my chosen country's flag on Saturday and I hope you'll join me. It might also be a good laugh to watch it together over skype or team speak (there's an excellent drinking game for it if you're interested). Up for it?
Don't worry. It wont be as bad as Father Ted's Eurovision attempt:

As for my choice, I considered Austria as Conchita Wurst is clearly very passionate about that whole phoenix experience but in the end I had to go with... SWITZERLAND (the video features overly happy people and food. what's not to like?).

I never really follow the Eurovision, but England always do poorly, this year we are meant to be favorites to win xxx

Hm, I haven't followed it, so I have no clue, but Conchita Wurst seems cool so I'm going to cheer for him (or is it her?)

England? is that so Lilly? there was me thinking you were still part of the UK. :P I listened to the UK entry yesterday and thought it was dire so it might do well.

Allie, it's not going to happen! Pick another. :P

Red, I think she goes with female pronouns but I guess we could always use ze.

Sweden was actually tipped as one of the favourites.

I am not fussed who wins. Although I like Switzerlands entry.

I just saw "drinking game" and it sounds fun. What kind of game is it?

As for my vote, i'll be patriotic and go UK, although i know we'll come dead last lol
