Hello there Consentus Members!

We have been challenge by Mini Nub and his clan the PINKREDIBLES to a mining war. Unfortunately Pinkredimles have withdrawn so this will now be interclan. 2-4 balanced teams of skillers/allrounders

This competition will be happening on the weekend of midnight 12th Dec 2014 - midnight 14th Dec 2014  GMT

We would like as big a turn out as possible as the average xp of everyone who participates will be counted.

So it's time to don your golden mining outfit, grab your pick/adze and settle i for some afk grinding with your clanmates.

We are hoping to keep an ava in the lrc and one in prif near the mine so you can get the extra 6% boost towards your 99/120 mining!!

Rules: Up for adjustment post below!!

Allowed: clan avatar, skilling outfits, urns, daily/earned keys, familiars, warbands- I will take this out if the members who moaned about it sign up!, divine locations and bonus xp but only if it is earned during the weekend. Any bxp earned before midnight Friday must be screenshotted and posted so that it can be adjusted at the end of the comp.

Disallowed: rule breaking such as botting, account sharing, NO BUYING SPINS

In light of our poor attempt in the latter half of the clan cup lets have a good turnout for this and do what we are good off ie skill our butts off!

I'll be in the lava mine with the ava next week if anyone wishes to come along and try to get their golden mining outfit, just a litttle added incentive for ya xx

I will be participating, this might give me the initiative to keep training past the event to 99. Hope to have some company at LRC as I'm a skiller I'll be hoping on one of the safespotable gold ores

WHAT, Warbands allowed o_O stop that bullshit that's not fair i'm not gonna waste wbs to a 99 skill while other wbs skills are not 99 ... and btw 12th - 12th?

Good luck in it, I don't plan on mining much nor would I even gain any exp if I did so I will pass.

Previously stacked BXP is not allowed because it's such a huge advantage, it would be unfair on so many people to allow it to count, Mining BXP/h from BA is (or was before it was changed, little unsure on current rates, but they should be roughly similar) was 600k/h, doubling someones xp for that just isn't fair on anyone else.

However, I agree, Warbands shouldn't be allowed, it's such a huge amount of xp for no work, that not everyone either does, or can do.

I don't see why warbands is an issue. Yea, skillers, ironmen and f2pers are disadvantaged, but they are in pretty much all content Even if you don't find an fc, you can probably always loot dwf worlds solo (and elm/rdi around 10 AM - 3 PM UTC)

Because that makes it luck based, Red. compared to someone who has a WB FC.

Giving people 2 free hours worth of mining xp, (more if they're at lrc!) doesn't seem so good.

Especially considering it can be done over multiple days (I'm assuming the dates in the OP are wrong.)

Vincent and I can vouch for fc invites (though, everyone needs to contribute in terms of scouting and anti pking, or we'll get in trouble for inviting leechers ). There's still going to be an aspect of luck as every camp doesn't have mining tents and there will be wars, but that can be said for pretty much all fcs?

Skillers can participate in wbs.. finding fc is easy... and wbs is just 600k free xp if full mining loot.. i think that's unfair.. i'm not gonna waste my wbs to mining as it's only wbs skill i got 99 but not up to me to make them rules

It's a team effort guys, because our clan is so much larger than theirs we said we would use average xp across the weekend rather than individual xp. (Although it would be nice if we could do an award for the top place) It also makes it fairer for the skillers who can't get into prif as we who can would just obliviate them.

I see lv 3 skillers at wbs all the time and tbh the pkers tend to go for me and the other combatters and leave them pretty much alone, but it is an option that we can take or leave according to personal preference.

On a similar note, tears of Guthix gives free xp in any skill, i don't ever hear anyone complain about that!
