Shades of Mort'ton Mini Game/Pyre Log Making
« on: July 08, 2012, 16:28:11 »
The fast way to do shades of mort ton and get sacred oils!
By LunarCanidae

Overview
-Obtain 4 dose olive oils in bank (enough ratio for the logs you are doing and number of logs)
-Gain resources for the activity
-Gain sanctity
-Making sacred oils
-Making the logs
Step 1. 4 dose oils
The cheapest place to buy them, is the mort ton general store

If you are feeling lazy you can buy them on the ge, for a lot more money.
The fastest way to bank them, is with terror bird/tortoise if u feel awesome, using the drakan medallion. If u feel super awesome, pack yak scrolls, though not very cost efficient at all, and wonders why you are reading this :P.
You can also simply run to the indicated locations (bank in burgh de rott and store on mort ton)

4dose decant at bob in ge is faster than clicking yourself of course.

Step 2. resource cap

The resource cap does not reset to 0 upon dc or log out, it is only depleted by reinforcing temple walls. Thus it is “stored”
Best way to get this is  take the same familiar you were using before, and fill your invent with swamp pastes (stackable) and invent + tort full of BRICKS and BEAMS  the most effective options are:(cheapest)beam and (most convenient) bricks

-do not worry about sanctity and making the oils just yet
Begin to repair the temple wall until you reach approx. 104 (most convenient) resource count using your invent and familiar (resupply at store if necessary)
5 swamp paste:1brick:1beam = 5 resources gained approx
To cap it 105 swamp paste:21brick:21beam
One invent will get you approx. 67 resources. (no familiar used)

Step 3. Gaining your sanctity
The fastest way to do this, is repairing as opposed to killing. It will be more easily gained at repair level 100% (harder if shades are destroying walls, a weapon may be useful in case)
Bank and get your 28x4dose olive oils in invent now – please note it is NOT sanctity and time efficient to store in familiars, this is because sanctity DECREASES over inactivity, so spending 30 seconds switching sacred oils for olive oils is NOT appropriate for this game, so feel free to dismiss familiar, yes your sanctity can go down plenty in that time.
It is 5 sanctity per 1 resource gained.
This is one click continued repair and will go to 100% sanctity. This will take 5-6mins approximately for 100%

Stand in the green zone while increasing sanctity with oils in invent for faster application to flame

Step 4. Making the sacred oils
You cannot make sacred oils if your sanctity is less than 10.
One click use olive oil on the flaming fire altar  will do the entire invent. Thus it is most efficient to have 4doses.
85 sanctity will get u approximately 22 oils, 100 should do your invent nicely.
Continue to bank and restock on olive oils  there is NO point adding oils to logs before all oils are made – waste of any residual sanctity on bank trip.

Step 5 making your pyre logs
Maple logs require 3 doses  very useful for vyre burning
Yew and magic requires 4doses very useful for fiyr shade burning.
One click use sacred oil (4) -> specified log, will use all oils on the logs in your invent (click all option)

Isn't maxing this one of the trim requirements?

Yea, burning 500 Vyrewatch corpses is part of trimmed completionist's requirements.
I think you only need 200 burnt to finish Morytania elite tasks, though.

...but the easiest way is to just buy the logs, lol. I made 6M+ in profit even after buying logs.

its just an option, and its also something FUN to do
and a way to make some cash.

we all have diff ways of doing things, this is just one way, and considering no where had any decent guides on efficiency, no hate thanks.
