Enabling JAG

Step 1: Log in with your RuneScape account.


Step 2: Open the Jagex Account Guardian tab.


Step 3: Open the link.


Step 4: This should show up.


Step 5: Check your linked mail adress for new mail. Make sure this mail is from Jagex, a simple check is: When did you recieve it? Does it include your account name?


Step 6: Read everything this is very important!


Step 7: Set random questions and give random answers. Always make sure to have the answers saved in notepad and locked in a secure place!

Step 8: After you have set your questions re-enter them in the screen that guides you trough.

You now have JAG enabled.

Enabling 2 step verification.

Step 1: Go back to your mail account to enable 2 step verification.


Step 2: Head to this section and fill in your mobile number and any secondary e-mail adress.



What have we just done?
-Enabled JAG, this makes sure only allowed people have acces to your account, even if they have your login details.
-Enabled 2-step verification, this makes sure no one can change your e-mail password unless you allow it trough your mobile phone.

This means that even if a hacker has your RuneScape login details he cant login to the account, however you have to make sure your e-mail password is different from the RuneScape password to make it even more safe.
