Starting Out
As you're viewing this guide, I'm assuming you either know little or a few things about the hunter skill, or maybe you just wanted a little read
. With this guide, I hope to lead you through all the steps required to gain the level you wish!
To start off, you're going to want to grab some supplies. I recommend you buy a few Bird Snares, as well as some Box Traps for later on. These can be bought from either the shop in yanille, which can be found here:
or from the Grand Exchange. As well as this, I recommend you purchase yourself a set of Larupia which helps succeed your chances of catching something. More details on the uses of Larupia can be found
here.Ok, now you're all set up i'm sure you're wondering, what now? Well continue reading and you'll find out!
Birds
From levels 1 to 9 you're going to be wanting to catch Crimson Swifts. These can be found South - East of Castle Wars, although it's a long run. You're going to want to bring a Bird Snare and have lots of patience. You can catch these here:
Now once you've reached level 9, you're going to want to continue with catching birds but after a quick move to south of the Piscatoris fishing colony, where you will begin to catch Copper Longtails until level 19. You can catch these, like the Crimson Swifts, here:

Getting bored of catching birds? Not a problem! You're almost done with them for good. What you're going to want to do is catch Tropical Wagtails from levels 19 to 29. Unlike the last two times, you're going to want a second Bird Snare as at level 20 you gain the ability to use up to two traps at once! You can catch these just to the west of where you were catching the Crimson Swifts. As with all the other birds, you can catch them here:

Big Chinchompa - Recommended Daily DnD
Big Chinchompa is a Minigame that can be done twice per day and allows you to recieve a nice chunk of hunter xp. It is run on the hour, every hour! This makes it quite easy to plan when you're going to go and do it as there's no need for you to look up the starting time. To start, simply head south of the Grand Tree and enter the tree building which can be found on the minimap here:
Now you're here, you're going to want to wait until about 5 to the hour and then jump straight through the orange portal which looks like this:
Upon entering the portal, you'll be taken to a random hunter area. Once it reaches the hour, a little gnome will pop out of the ground and leave a crater that you can click on to enter the minigame. Once you've entered the crater, you'll appear in a large arena of sorts with a Big Chinchompa in the middle. To start, go to a corner of the arena and grab a flower and wield it, this will help a little with the experience gain per hour. The aim is to run around, collect butterflies in the jar and then throw them into the chinchompa's cage. Upon doing so, you'll recieve a nice amount of hunter experience. At around 65 hunter, you should recieve about 20k xp per game. As well as catching the butterflies, you're going to want to click the shaking trees which will also add butterflies to your jar.
