General Graardor Guide

Howdy,
If you're interested in learning to solo General Graardor, then this is this topic for you. You may like to know that there are two really great methods to take down General Graardor, which are both Melee and Magic; so I will be covering both of these methods.

Method one - 2H Magic
In order to kill Graardor, you may need some good outfits, however, the following outfits will be viable in order to take down Graardor successfully.

Item (most effective → least effective)
• Helmet: Tectonic Mask → (Superior)Seasigner Hood → Virtus Mask → Hood of Subjugation.
• Top: Tectonic Top → (Superior)Seasigner top → Virtus top → Garb of Subjugation.
• Bottom: Tectonic Bottoms → (Superior)Seasigner Bottoms → Virtus bottoms → Gown of Subjugation.
• Gloves: Celestial Handwarps → Static Gloves → Spellcaster Gloves → Virtus Gloves → Gloves of Subjugation.
• Boots: Ragefire Boots → Virtus Boots → Boots of Subjugation → Warpriest Boots.
• Amulet: Amulet of Souls → (Blood) Arcane Stream → Dragon-Rider Amulet → Saradomin's hiss → Blood Amulet of Fury.
• Cape: Completionist cape → Max cape → TokHaar-Kal-Mej → God Cape
• Weapon: Noxious Staff → Attuned Crystal Staff → Chaotic Staff.
• Aura Penance → Reverence → Vampyrism.
• Ring: Ring of Death → Asylum's Surgeon Ring → Leviathan Ring → Ring of Wealth

When attacking Graardor, you are better off standing in this side of the room. This is due to the fact that one of the followers will not be able to spot you unless you walk further south, therefore resulting in less damage dealt to you.

Inventory - This is how you should want your inventory to look.
Orange = Room for loot.
Light blue = Replaceable with whatever potions you have available.
Red = Spring cleaner - This is good for crushing any runite drops.

Ability Bar
For the best DPS, I recommend not using any ultimate abilities whilst fighting Graardor. You are best off using Combust at the start of the kill, then using Wild Magic and Asphyxiate.

Melee - Duel Wielding

Item (most effective → least effective)
• Helmet: Malevolent Helmet → (Superior)Tetsu Helmet → Torva Full Helmet → Bandos Helmet.
• Top: Malevolent → (Superior)Tetsu  platebody → Torva Platebody → Bandos Chestplate.
• Bottom: Malevolent → (Superior)Tetsu platelegs → Torva Platelegs → Bandos Tassets.
• Gloves: Pneumatic Gloves → Goliath gloves → Torva Gloves → Bandos Gloves.
• Boots: Steadfast boots → Torva Boots → Bandos Boots.
• Amulet: Amulet of Souls → (Blood)Brlawer's knockout necklace → (Blood)Amulet of fury → Saradomin's whisper.
• Cape: Completionist Cape → Max cape → TokHaar-Kal-Ket → Fire Cape.
• Weapon: Drygore Mace/Rapier/Longswords → Chaotic Longswords.
• Aura Penance → Reverence → Vampyrism.
• Ring: Ring of Death → Asylum's Surgeon Ring → Leviathan Ring → Ring of Wealth.

Inventory - This is how you should want your inventory to look.
Orange = Room for loot.
Light blue = Replaceable with whatever potions you have available.
Red = Spring cleaner - This is good for crushing any runite drops.

Ability Bar
Once again, I would not recommend using any ultimates, but you should use threshold abilities when you're able to.

I hope that this guide can help you become a pro at solo'ing General Graardor, thanks for reading!

Cool guide, thanks mini. Which combat style do you prefer? I've always just taken straight rocktails, so will have to try pots :O

May your trips at Graardor be a good one! \:D/

My favorite combat style has to be Magic, purely because all 4 GWD bosses can be solo'd using magic with ease! As well as having better magic armour :)

Haha, I certainly hope so! I'll make other GWD guides later on when I find the time if nobody else beats me to it :)

If anyone plans on making some, could you send me a PM to let me know? Thanks!

Followed Mini's action bar and guide and Lasted 15-20ish kills. A lot better than the 4-5 I usually do.

I could of lasted longer, but I didn't bring an extra familiar pouch, so when my war tort died, I lost all of its rocktails :( Could of lasted twice as long I think. Gives me motivation to get the pak yak!

Only made 257k from all the kills though.

Random picture I took while doing it :D
