How do I work out what I should value my time at?
To work this out you need to know what your best money making method is. It is best to choose one that you know you can do for a long time, my example would be Law runes at 424k profit per hour.

You will also want to include the amount of experience you are gaining from a skill because this will actually save you time training that skill in the future leaving you with potentially more time to spend making money. Law runes again would be around 27k experience per hour.

So now that I know how much experience I gain I would want to find out how much time this saves me. As I am already 99 Runecrafting I can expect to be earning 85k+ experience per hour at Runespan, so this means I am saving myself 19 minutes of training at Runespan in the future. Knowing that I can make 424k per hour this means that 19 minutes will allow me to make an extra 134k.

From all this we can see that I make 424k profit per hour but also save myself time allowing me to make an extra 134k profit. When these values are added together this means I value my time at 558k per hour.
