Welcome to the Clan News for August!

Review of August

August was a great month for Consentus!

I held a 2 Truths & a Lie Competition on the forum. Ephesia & Cahaya tied as the winners.

Ephesia hosted a really fun anagram game, called "You've been talking to...who?" Here are the results of that game:

We had 2 teams face off in a Skill War, hosted by Mini Nub. We battled for a week, training Thieving, Divination, Agility, & Mining. Congratulations to the Defenders of Misthalin on their huge win.

Every month we have a Pro & Noob competition. We track the experience of all of our clan members and award the player with the most experience gained this month with the Pro rank, and the player with the lowest experience this month with the Noob rank.

In order to be eligible for this competition you must have gained a minimum of 250,000 XP this month. This is to account for inactive players.

Looking ahead to September

Announcements

After the feedback you gave on the clan surveys, the Consentus staff members have spent the last few weeks working on the best way to move forward in an effort to continue to be the best clan on Runescape.

Starting September 1st, we will now be offering regular weekly events for Citadel Capping on Sundays, Portables on Thursdays, Penguin Hunting &
Quiz on Saturdays. Times for these events may vary, so please keep an eye on the weekly schedule on the front page of the forum for details.

We would like to eventually offer weekly PvM events as well, but we are first going to focus on teaching less experienced players by having team members who are available for 1-on-1 teaching. These PvM leaders will be announced at a later date.

During this process, the Consentus staff was shuffled and streamlined into new teams and roles. Here are those new teams:

We will continue to run on a 4 week rotation, so that the responsibilities involved in creating and running events doesn't fall on the same people all the time. If a team decides to run an extra event, they will produce a table of interest for people to sign up. We have started this idea as often Staff work extremely hard to find new events, only for no one to attend. This is disheartening for us all, so hopefully we can gage interest before the event. Therefore it is important to sign up.

All Owners and Seniors are free for any concerns or ideas you may have that will improve Consentus.

Upcoming Events

We have 2 upcoming real life events!

First is a fun day at the Xtreme Scream Park on October 14...just in time for Halloween! For more details and to let Lilly know if you can make it, check out Xtreme Screaming.

Another fun event is being planned at Walibi Holland. We're currently looking at this event taking place in August 2018, but we need your input! Go to the WALIBI HOLLAND for more details.

You have until the 7th of September to enter you character picture to be included in the Consentus 7th Anniversary Clan Photo! Click HERE for directions and more information.

Citadel resources
We know that collecting resources in the Citadel can be an annoying task, mainly because there is nobody around to talk to, if you feel like this feel free to join us on a Sunday afternoon. Here you will find a great portion of our clan members filling their cap, and having great fun with each other.

We’re keen to continue our efforts to expand and raise our profile on different social media. One thing we still lack is an active Youtube Channel. If you want to help, please message an owner. We appreciate any help we can get!

Member of the Month
Our Member of the Month this month is @antifizzo! Yuri is a great member of Consentus...he's helping, welcoming, and has a really fun and positive attitude. We are excited to welcome him as a new member of staff...he's earned it. Congratulations, Yuri!

Forum Spotlight
Thanks to Redtunnel, we have these amazing forums, and because they are busy and there's a lot of content, some of the benefits can be missed. So...I thought it would be nice to spotlight a section of the forums each month, so you're not missing out on all Consentus has to offer.

This month's spotlight is the Guides Tab! This fantastic feature offers real time Rune Goldberg machine runes, the Spotlighted Minigame, Actice VOS, and more! Click on the tabs at the top of the page to find skiller friendly guides and PvM guides (including the current Araxxor path). If you have an idea for a guide you'd like to see or even write yourself, please message a staff member...we'd love to hear from you.
