Hello everybody and welcome to my How To:Fletching Guide.
In this guide i will be covering all of the basic for obtaining 99 in the Fletching Skill.
The aim of this guide to have quick, simple and effective methods to accommodate mostly all players.

Please note that these are the most basic of methods and only will more in-depth methods be added upon request from yourselves.
That being said, if you have suggestions on content to add to the guide, Please feel free to post your finding in the comments below or private message me.

1 - 15 - Bronze Arrows

Items Needed: 1,855

GP/XP: -40.77 as of 30/10/2015.

You’ll require 1,855 Feathers & 1,855 Bronze Arrow Tips to use this method.

15 - 30 - Iron Arrows

Items Needed: 4,381

GP/XP: -22.4 as of 30/10/2015.

You’ll require 4,381 Feathers & 4,381 Iron Arrow Tips to use this method.

30 - 45 - Steel Arrows

Items Needed: 9,630

GP/XP: -18.4 as of 30/10/2015.

You’ll require 9,630 Feathers & 9,630 Bronze Arrow Tips to use this method.

35 - 55 - Mithril Arrows

Items Needed: 14,017

GP/XP: -10.4 as of 30/10/2015.

You’ll require 14,017 Feathers & 14,017 Mithril Arrow Tips to use this method.

55 - 70 - Maple Longbow(u)

Items Needed: 9,795

GP/XP: +1.2 as of 30/10/2015.

You’ll require 9,795 Maple Logs to use this method.

70 - 85 - Yew Longbow

Items Needed:16,807

GP/XP: -0.28 as of 30/10/2015.

You’ll require 16,807 Yew Logs & 16,807 Bowstrings to use this method.

85-99+ - Magic Longbow

Items Needed: 53,420

GP/XP: +0.19 as of 30/10/2015.

You’ll require 53,420 Magic Logs & 53,420 Bowstrings to use this method.

The yellow text is almost impossible to read (im using the white forum version)

This is why the dark version is amazing :)


Awesome guide by the way, CJ, thanks for this :-) Does the Magic Longbows require you to cut then string the bows?

Thank you! I've just changed the font colour to Teal so it works across all Forum Themes. Thank you for this!

Yes.. a lot of bows unfortunately. O_O alternatively, you could buy them pre-cut and string them. Stringing is slightly faster xp/hr. :)

As stated, these are the basic methods used to obtain 99 in the skill. If you have any suggestions, please feel free to post them in the comments or send me a message to request me to add them. I will then do the necessary research and add where they should belong.

Fully aware there are Broads, Ascension ect but, the majority of new players (who would require a guide) would not be able to afford these methods anyway. That being said, i'm happy to add them if they're requested.

I'd like to see two methods tbh, a cheap/basic method then the alternative expensive method, such as ascensions or broads :)

Great guide man! Short, clean and efficient, but do you know anything about making arrows?
