1-99 Invention Guide

Howdy, for those of you who are wondering how to train invention or what's the 'most efficient way', then this may be the guide for you!

NOTE THAT THIS GUIDE MAY BE OUT OF DATE SLIGHTLY

Requirements
• 80 Divination
• 80 Smithing
• 80 Crafting

Note:
- Augmented dual-wielding will not be mentioned in this guide.
- This guide isn't skiller friendly.

Level 1 - 4 Invention
To reach level 4 invention from level 1, simply complete the Invention tutorial at the invention guild by speaking to Doc.


Level 4 - 27 Invention
Simply Augment two weapons and get them all the way up to level 5. Once you've reached level 5 on both of these augmented weapons, proceed to disassemble them.

Note:
• Disassembling an item means that you will lose the item completely!
• Use something cheap, such as a black salamander or crystal equipment



Level 27 - 45 Invention
At level 27 Invention, you will be able to level augmented weapons and body armour up towards level 10. Simply train your augmented equipment to level 10 then disassemble them granting 540,000 Invention experience each.

Note:
• Leveling up augmented body armour is slower than leveling up augmented weapons.
• Disassembling an item means that you will lose the item completely!
• Using an equipment siphon will give you half of the experience - but means you can keep the augmented item.



Level 45 - 60/99 Invention
At level 45 Invention, you have the ability to augment leg armour. This means that you can now level 3 augmented items at any given time (Body, Legs and a 2H weapon). Simply proceed to reach level 10 in these equipment and continue to dissassemble them for the full 540,000 experience each!

Note:
• Augmented leg armour has the same level-up rate as augmented body armour.
• Disassembling an item means that you will lose the item completely!
• Using an equipment siphon will give you half of the experience - but means you can keep the augmented item.



Level 60 - 99 Invention
Congratulations! You've reached the point where you can now level weapons and armour towards level 15! This is great news if you're fairly poor and wish to spend less and less money on invention.

If you wish to do so, you can level up augmented weapons and armour towards level 12. Once these items are at level 12 you can use an Equipment Siphon to gain 540,000 each. This will allow you to keep the augmented weapon or armour as well as giving you the maximum experience.

Note:
• It takes almost the same amount of time to level an augmented weapon or armour from level 10 to 12.
• Leveling your item passed level 12 does not give more experience.
• Disassembling a level 12 item does not give more experience - Only siphoning.



Additional information:
• When researching at an Invention bench - Always make sure that you get it perfect, this will give you the best research option whilst using the least amount of inspiration - The less you use, the better!
• Always research new stuff at the Invention bench - This gives a great amount of experience and could speed up the time it takes you to get 99 invention.
• Inspiration is earned randomly per level.

Good placed to train:
• Slayer tasks.
• God wars dungeon camp.
• Dark Beasts (90 Slayer).
• Airuts (92 Slayer).
• Ganodermic Beasts (95 Slayer).
• Abyss
• Muspah

Good job :) I think muspahs should be added to good places to train though, they're instanced afk, revolution stops you using as many runes and still good weapon xp

Question from me but when u siphon do you loose the gizmos that you have in the item? I've just managed to get some reasonable perks in gizmos and dont want to loose them if this happens. 

Up till now i have not bothered using perks.

If you siphon an item you won't lose any gizmos installed. You'll only lose them should you destroy the weapon/armour or use a form of dissolver.
