One of my first interactions with the clan was talking about 3 tick cooking. Apparently it's not as well known as I thought it was so I thought I'd throw a guide together for it!

So what is 3 tick cooking?
A Runescape game tick is the time-frame between registered actions within the game. One game tick is equal to 0.6 seconds. A good visual representation of a game tick is the time taken for a dwarf multi-cannon to rotate 45 degrees. Cooking fish without this method takes about 4-5. Although you're only saving .6 of a second by doing this method, if you're going for 120 or 200m, that adds up!


Requirements:

• Something to cook.
• A one click range, I suggest using portable ranges for the bonus cooked fish as well as exp.
• Bank preset set up.
• Cooking gauntlets (To cook Rocktails)

Recommendations:

• Cooking urns. These aren't vital, but they increase your exp/h by about 10-20%.
• Chefs clothing.
• Portable Ranges. If you cannot afford them, the join the ingame Friends Chat Portables and ask for ranges.
  

Setting up for cooking!
So by now, you've got your fish, your urns and your one click range. You want to set up your bank preset as follows.
If you're using ranges, the include one, if not then by all means, replace it with another fish. For this example, I will be.


One you've got your preset sorted out, time to place down your range if you're using one. For maximum efficiency, rotate your camera so the preset button is over the top of the click radius of the one click range. It just makes thing easier!





The Method:
Once you've got all set up it's time to move onto the actual method of 3-ticking. What you want to do is as follows:

1) Click your range while holding the space bar.
2) Once the exp rise has appeared on your screen, click the range again.
3) Repeat until banking.
4) Click your bank, press your selected preset button.
5) Repeat from step one.



That about wraps it up.  Using this method you can get upwards of 600k exp/h! If you found this helpful or you have any questions, feel free to let me know. Thanks for reading

I didn't realise this existed until I was at about 75M Cooking exp, It definitely sped up the last leg mind makes such a difference and it's too hard to actually do. Very detailed guide mind.

Aww that sicks man, yeah I mean it requires a lot more attention but it's worth it :o I'm at about 45m right now, got a looooong way to go
