I love the Eeveelutions, I do hope there are a few more in this generation.

I've been looking into this a lot, and I actually can't wait for this to come out.

An interesting fact I found about the names of the games:

X, the X axis is horizontal, and usually determines distance, which is why the mascot for X, Xerneas, is sort of like a stag.
Y, the Y axis is vertical, and usually determines height, which is why the mascot for Y, Yveltal, is a bird.

I'm guessing the 3rd game for this generation will be Z, which is the 3rd axis, which brings in the 3rd dimension, of which this generation is the first in the game series to be in full 3D.

You might have known this, but if you didn't, it's quite interesting stuff :)

Kind of clever too :)

Lovely facts!

Some people were upset that Nintendo ditched their whole "gem' thing..

It was a colour thing more than a gem thing  :(

This^^^^

Still waiting on purple and orange, amethyst and (orange gem) if needed :x

There's more of a contrast theme to names.

Maybe they just ran out of contrasting colours/gems :o

I can't think of any more right now, anyway.

Meh, the eeveelution doesn't look terrible, but it doesn't look good. But, it's been god(Meg)knows how many games, it'd be hard coming up with ideas by now.

I like it, honestly.
It's kind of childish, but you have to remember that pokemon is a children's game.

I beg to differ..
Other than Tangela..
I loved Magmar's and Elektabuzz's evolutions.

Pokémon X & Pokémon Y

Following its reveal in CoroCoro on Monday night, The Pokémon Company has now announced the US name of the latest Pokémon. Ninfia, the newest evolution of the Pokémon, Eevee, shall be known in English as Sylveon, with its German name being Feelinara and French being Nymphali. No further details were given about this Pokémon, but CoroCoro said that more secrets will be revealed about it next month. We have some new screenshots featuring Sylveon in our section. Click the image to go to it

I prefer it's Japanese name.

Contrasting colours don't have to be literally opposite >.>  So orange and purple do contrast.

I'm really feeling like they are releasing a Eeveelution for each Gender.

Slyveon -> X Cromosome (GIRL)
Unknown Eeveelution -> Y Chromosome (Boy)

Sorry if I got Chromo's mixed up.

That's just a small theory.
I think someone said it already, but That's what i think.

Possible Evolution Theory:

Level up an Female Eevee while holding a (insert item here)..
Maybe something that has to do with gender?

There are two "new" types of pokemon, allegedly.
Light and Sound

How true is this, I'm not sure.
I'm just keeping you guys updated on the Pokemon X And Y thing.

Could they just add a 2nd type like that to already existing ones? Have they done it before?

Magnemite and Magneton were given Steel as their second type with it's introduction in Gen 2, so I suppose they could
