MATCH DAY ONE - LET'S GO

Japan VS Russia!!!

@xLeilah VS @Really Fedup

Russia are with a couple of Russia's stars, with prop Vladimir Morozov and now-departed second row Andrei Ostrikov both members of Steve Diamond's squad last year.

Yuri Kushnarev and Vasily Artemyev bring experience and control at 10 and 15, and if Russia are to produce a first-shock, it is through their two foremost creators that it is most likely to come.

However Japan the hosts are without two of their best, controversial number eight Amanaki Mafi (who will go on trial after allegedly punching a Melbourne Rebels team mate after the World Cup is concluded) and dangerous wing Kenki Fukuoka.

Michael Leitch is a man of vast experience and a wise leader in the back row, and this pack has come on leaps and bounds in the last couple of years. Look out for hooker Shota Horie.

Could be a very tricky game for the hosts and for @xLeilah battle of the women who will come out on top!!

Let me know score predictions, who's going to win down below!!!!

Game Day 2!

Austrailia Took on Fiji in the very early kick off

@Tomarnomar VS @Mercury Read

So, it’s one from one in Pool D for Australia, as they start their ninth World Cup campaign in the manner they’ve started eight previously, with a win.

For nearly 50 minutes they were absolutely in a battle here - Fiji were expected to be fearsome with ball in hand, but especially in the first half the Pasifika nation also looked well-organised, disciplined and solid at the set piece. They led at the break, and even jumped to a nine-point lead early in the second half, but whether fitness or depth played a part, it was Australia that finished by far the stronger side.

A change of tactics - a reversion to a simpler form of rugby, built on clever kicking and solid metres up the centre - probably played a part in the significant shift of momentum. Fiji saw a man dismissed for repeated infringements and the Wallabies were ruthless in prosecuting their advantage.

A bruising encounter first up - plenty to come from this group with Wales, Georgia and Uruguay still to come!

GREAT RESULT THIS MORNING FROM @Tomarnomar

FRANCE VS ARGENTINA!

@Tracie vs DALE

I can only really see one winner here today and that goes to DALE. The French were humiliated in the opening match of their own tournament, as Argentina secured a 17-12 win at the Stade de France in 2007.

The two sides then met a second time for 3rd place and the Pumas secured another win, crushing Les Bleus 34-10.

I can see france wanting SWEET SWEET REVENGE.

THE BIG GAME TONIGHT! NEW ZEALAND VS SOUTH AFRICA WHAT A GAME THIS COULD BE!

@KGBx VS @Krazy Golf

 Forget the full-scale charm offensives we've witnessed in Tokyo this week.

Coaches and players from the All Blacks and Springboks might have leaned on their elbows and smiled politely for the rows of TV cameras and media types this week but, surely, it has been an elaborate smokescreen.

Maybe they should earn their coin in high-stakes card games in the Nevada desert, shifting vast amounts of money across the green velvet. This could really go either way!

LEAVE YOUR SCORE PREDICTIONS BELOW! Who do you think is going to win today!

WHAT A SUNDAY OF RUGBY

We start with ITALY VS NAMIBIA
@The Elders VS @Nikkie

Italy began their World Cup Pool B campaign with a bonus-point victory over Namibia in changing weather conditions in Osaka.
The Namibian part-timers took an early lead through Damian Stevens before the Azzurri drew level with a penalty try.
Italy then took control with tries from Tommaso Allan and Tito Tebaldi.
Edoardo Padovani, Carlo Canna, Jake Polledri, Matteo Minozzi scored after the break, while JC Greyling and Chad Plato scored consolations for Namibia. ITALY looked pretty good, could they be the underdogs?

We then swiftly move on to the BIG GAME of the day

SCOTLAND VS IRELAND

@Sissybear VS @Alaklondewen

Ruthless Ireland franked their status as the world's top-ranked side with a clinical Rugby World Cup victory against a meek Scotland in Yokohama.
The Irish went over in their first two incursions into the Scottish 22, James Ryan and Rory Best ploughing over to put them 12-0 ahead after 15 minutes.
Greig Laidlaw got the Scots on the board, but a wretched bounce led to Tadhg Furlong adding a third try before the half was out. Andrew Conway then crossed after the break to secure Ireland's bonus point.
Ireland play hosts Japan on Saturday next, with Scotland facing Samoa two days later. I have heard that @Sissybear has to do cook dinner tonight for the lost to her mum @Alaklondewen ;) Shouldn't loose then should ya ;)

The final game of the day the one we have all been waiting for!

ENGLAND VS TONGA

@Barforama vs @Dee

It matters how you start a World Cup but not as much as how you finish it.
Eddie Jones has been deep in enough of these ding-dongs to realise that, and his grin after England's stuttering 35-3 win over England on Sunday was that of a man who knows that he has the time and opportunity to find much more.
He will have to search for it after a performance that was less of a charge on to the World Cup stage than a slightly apologetic stumble through the opening curtain.
You can win games against struggling teams like Tonga and still feel like you have lost a little. Everyone expects victory. Plenty expect something extravagant, particularly when the opposition have lost six of their last seven games, including defeats by Japan, Fiji and Samoa. England still have a lot to do! They got the bonus point today but looked a little shaky at times, but still came out on top!

PS THE REPORTS WILL BE COMING AROUND THIS SORT OF TIME EVERY DAY! DUE TO THE GAMES STARTING REALLY EARLY FOR MY TIME ANYWAY!

What are your score predictions tomorrow?

WALES VS GEORGIA

Wales delivered a performance of contrasting halves in their opening Rugby World Cup match as they produced a bonus-point, six-try win over Georgia in Toyota City.

Tries from Jonathan Davies, Justin Tipuric, Josh Adams and Liam Williams secured the bonus point before half-time.

The fluent first 40 minutes was followed by a scrappy second-half performance against a rejuvenated Georgian side.

Replacement scrum-half Tomos Williams and George North added second-half tries.

Australia now await Wales in what will effectively be a potential Pool D decider in Tokyo on 29 September.

Big game today with Russia VS Samoa who will take the points tonight?
