Logic

How to play
If you’ve ever felt like your child is a wizard
that understands puzzles long before you do, you’re not alone.
Kids’ imaginations seem to allow them to solve problems that
leave us adults scratching our heads for hours on end.
four puzzles that elementary school kids can solve in an instant see how you fare.

First graders in Hong Kong were given this puzzle on an entrance exam.
I know, right? An entrance exam, in the first grade?
Kids were able to solve the puzzle in just a few seconds.

What parking spot number is the car parked?

This puzzle comes from a 12-year-old American math worksheet.
50 chocolate candies are in a box; 30 of them are caramel-filled;
25 are coconut-filled; 10 of them have both,
and the rest are just plain chocolate.

Which image best represents the box of chocolates?

GOOD LUCK TO YOU ALL.........

Campsite

How to play
This Ingenious Old Puzzle Will Test Your Logic and Attention to Detail. How difficult for you?
Once upon a time, magazines came with useful information and fun little brain puzzles for kids.
Nowadays, they are full of advertisements and articles based on shallow topics.
That makes me sad.
This little puzzle is made to test one’s logic and attention to detail.
The fact that kids used to do this puzzle amazes me.
Even I had some issues figuring out some of the questions.

Take a look at the picture and answer the 9 questions below!

1.  How many people are staying at this campsite?
2.  Did they arrive today or a few days ago?
3.  How did they get there?
4.  Is the closest town far away or near by?
5.  Is the wind blowing from the North or the South?
6.  What time of day is it?
7.  Where did Alex go?
8.  Who was on duty yesterday?
9.  What day is it today?

No Cheating!!!

GOOD LUCK TO YOU ALL.........

Puzzle Answers
Here are the answers!
1. How many people are staying at this campsite?
There are 4 people. One can see 4 sets of cutlery and four names on the duty list.
2. Did they arrive today or a few days ago?
A few days ago. There is a spider web on the tent which means a spider has had time to build it.
3. How did they get there?
They arrived by boat. One can see oars against the tree.
4. Is the closest town far away or near by?
It is not that far away. The boys did not bring a chicken with them, so he probably walked there.
5. Is the wind blowing from the North or the South?
The wind is blowing from the north. One can see a windsock on the top of the tent that shows the direction of the wind. It is common that branches on the south side of a tree are larger, so we know which direction is south and that the wind is blowing in the opposite direction.
6. What time of day is it?
It is morning. We know which direction is south, so it is easy to figure out the time based on the shadows in the picture. The shadows show the sun is rising in the East.
7. Where did Alex go?
Alex is catching butterflies behind the tent. You can see the butterfly net.
8. Who was on duty yesterday?
Colin was on duty. Colin is looking for something in his backpack (it is marked with a ’’C’’). Alex is catching butterflies. James is taking pictures (you can see a camera tripod sticking out of his bag). That means that Peter is on duty today, and Colin was on duty yesterday.
9. What day is it today?
According to the duty list, today is August 8th; because Peter is on duty and there is a watermelon on the ground (watermelons ripen in August). Those numbers next to their names are not their ages.

What do you think? Harder than you expected?

Grid Puzzle

How to play
Grid puzzles (also known as “logic grid puzzles”)
require the solver to deduce the relationships between different people,
places and things based on a limited number of clues given in the puzzle.
Remember: every item on the board belongs to one and only one person,
no item will ever be shared.
Using only the clues provided and simple deductive logic and reasoning,
fill in the grid with X’s and O’s to determine the solution.

Take a look at the grid and cross the correspondence out!
