Dingbats Forum Game
21-27 July

Welcome to Team Lilly's forum game: Dingbats!

What is a Dingbat?

Amongst other definitions, a dingbat is a simple text-based picture that represents a phrase or word.
Your challenge, should you wish to accept, is to guess the meaning of the six daily dingbats!

Here's two examples!


The trick to these, is basically "Say What You See", so with this one, the word MISS is -under- STANDING...
the answer: MISUNDERSTANDING!

Let's try another.


With this one, there are three of the word POD in a triangle
3 pod.... 3 of something is worded with TRI-
You got it? TRIPOD!

Check back at 12:00 game time on Saturday, and attempt some more on your own!

Event information:

Each post will be uploaded each day at 12 noon game time.
PM me your answers to take part. Each one is numbered, so please make sure the numbers match your answer.
You can answer previous day's dingbats if you don't figure it out, just please say which day it refers to!
All answers will be revealed at the end of the event, which will close at 12 noon Saturday 28th to ensure time for Friday answers to come in!

Prizes!

1st Place: 5m
2nd Place: 3m
3rd Place: 1m

Tied places will share the prize (e.g. if two people come second, they each get 1.5m

See you Saturday for the first round!!!

Day three has stumped quite a few people!! I wonder how you'll do today! Remember you have up until Saturday 1pm (12 noon game time) to get all the answers in, so If you want to submit a few each day, you can do, or if you want to submit them all after Fridays goes live, then do so!

Two people have managed to give me 100% correct answers so far, with many more following close behind! All is to play for still!

This is just a progress update, letting people know what days they have already submitted, and if they want to catch up, which days have yet to be answered =) You have until 12 noon game time on Saturday to answer all the weeks Dingbats, but thought the update would be useful to those taking part to see what they have done so far. If you haven't taken part yet, get involved, check back and pm me any answers you come up with!

Its honestly all to play for, and I'm so happy at how people are giving it a great go, even if they do struggle to get them! Keep it up peeps!  \:D/ \:D/ \:D/
