Title: Is Die Hard a Christmas movie?

Released in July 1988, the film took place on Christmas Eve...

No, Christmas isn't a major theme throughout, it is only set at the time of year XD

Never seen a die hard movie, I don't like Bruce Willis as an actor, and off set he seems like a strange person to say the least.

YIPPEE KI-NAY! I don't really think about Christmas when I watch the movie, so to me, it's not really a Christmas movie, but I accept that it is one categorically and I love that it's a tradition to watch it every Christmas!

No, absolutely not!  Gremlins takes place during Christmas too, but no one calls it a Christmas movie (or maybe they do, I don't know).  The list goes on...

It's a Christmas movie if you watch it around Christmas each year but I guess a christmas movie needs to be centered around Christmas to technically count so in practice yes it is and technically no its not.
