Title: What would you do?

A pregnant woman leading a group of people out of a cave on a coast is stuck in the mouth of that cave. In a short time high tide will be upon them, and unless she is unstuck, they will all be drowned except the woman, whose head is out of the cave. Fortunately, (or unfortunately,) someone has with him a stick of dynamite. There seems no way to get the pregnant woman loose without using the dynamite which will inevitably kill her; but if they do not use it everyone will drown. What should they do?

How many people are in the group? I think it is unreasonable for several people to sacrifice themselves for the sake of a woman and a child who may not even be born from the trauma. If possible, they should try and work out a way to get out. How did they get in in the first place? If a pregnant woman if able to, and the cave is safe enough to give tours, surely its possible to get out from the other side.

Why is a pregnant women leading the group anyway? :x. And why the hell is someone carrying dynamite with them?

I would use wingardium leviosa to levitate them to safety before apparating them to a safer location.

If using the dynamite means everyone else stays alive they should use the dynamite, of course. It would be for the greater good. I know this might sound really harsh but it would've been a really easy choice for me.

They should do what they feel is right ;) It's a precarious situation, for sure. I don't think an altruistic choice on the expense of lives would essentially be wrong.

Can't the pregnant woman just black all the water from coming in anyways? She's stuck in the first place

if she got in that situation they cud pull her back out :P this option = pull her backwards, dynamite used to make a bigger exit to get her and everyone else out, buy her a wide load sticker to slap on her ass.

if not, death by dynamite... does seem harsh. and also legal complications :P
they could also search another way out?

I guess it depends which of them has excepted their mortality. But if I am a person stuck in the group we are going to blow the pregnant lady and her baby up to save everyone else.

Drowning is a horrible way to die, and she won't feel a thing when she blows up.
