Automation taking over jobs

Are you concerned about humans being replaced by robots or do you think that it's all good?

It's awesome.
If robots can take over boring and dull jobs it would be awesome.

Society has to change though, since millions of jobs will be taken by robots.

I absolutely hate the fact that so much is getting automated. Robots are efficient and don't require salary... but! They run a program that is set for them. They can't react, they can't change and they certainly aren't flexible. People can do all of these things.

Like this new idea about completely automated boats for example... What if something happens then? In middle of nowhere and something gets screwed up... then what?

So no, I find it a complete disaster that people are getting replaced by mindless robots. I'm getting a real Titanic feeling about society these days... Overconfidence and refusal to look around, listen and think... and then we get the Iceberg.

Worries me that robots do repetitive jobs, what happens when we run out of jobs?  Who will pay into our systems?

From a business perspective it's hard to disagree with adding robots instead of people. Less money has to be paid out by the owner of the business (besides the initial cost of the machinery) and they will continuously do the job correctly in a repetitious manner.

The downside is the obvious, as machines take over more and more positions as well as with the population growing at an alarming rate, how will there every be enough job positions in order to give income to all of these people? How will the gap between the rich and poor be lessened when the rich can amount to machines requiring them to pay out less money? How will we make up for the lack of taxes being brought in through income tax from the fewer jobs? There's a lot of concerns here and I definitely find it concerning.
