So my friend is in trouble for supposedly making a comment last week which he couldn't have made.
The "evidence" against him is 2 witness statements and nothing else.
I agreed to try to help him out cuz he's my friend.
The argument we came up with is the fact that:
1. The comment is supposedly made in the back bus, when he and I were in the front of the bus in trouble for disturbances
2. The supposed witnesses are both known to insult the victim
3. My friend was not the first to be accused, the two witnesses were.
4. The cameras on the bus show that we have not talked to the victim in a long time
Is there enough evidence to expel him like they want, or can we get him off the hook? Discuss please.

In the UK, you may get a bus ban but suspended from school ? Not really as the incident was out of school.
Would your school throw you out for a fight at the weekend?

What did he say?
Threats can be taken seriously even if they were joking.
(that's what it seems like because if they're going to expel him, I'd expect it to be over a threat.)

The thing is he didn't say anything, as him and I were up front on the bus when the incident happened. He has a solid alibi that they dont even care about.

If the school try to do anything to him without legit proof other than two people, then his parents can go raise hell, I'm pretty sure buses have camera, and his parents can demand to see the film.

Thats what I told him
I was accused but the bus driver approved my alibi, which is the same as my friends.
Then they wouldn't take me as a witness for my friend because I was accused, which doesn't make sense because the witnesses against him were also accused.
