I have absolutely no idea why people choose to be vegans - I can understand why vegetarians do what they do (not eat meat (and in most cases, fish)) but why not eat dairy (or anything else that comes from an animal?)

I have nothing wrong with vegetarians who are doing it correctly. Good for them they're standing up for something they believe in. It's people who jump on the bandwagon and don't do it properly. You can seriously damage your body, if not kill yourself by not gaining the nutrients or proteins that your body needs to survive on. It's all very well eating loads of salads, but where will you get your iron from? Anywho, I've always wanted an answer to my previous question. ;3

Things like lentels, spinach, cabbage and tomatoes are high in iron. There are plenty of oppurtunities to get all the nutrients you need.  ;)

mechanically reclaimed meat is disgusting
its where the carcass basically where once stripped of valuable meat, is squished, like u wud a car. but, theres a grated opening, that allows skin, ligaments, juices and other flesh to pass through but not bones. and this is then combined and kept together, dyed and formed into meat. i do believe i heard someone say kfc popcorn chicken was made liek so.
richard hammond did a series documentary following production of sausages etc - and this mrm making was part of it
(of which sausages can contain sawdust!:P
