I personally don't have a problem with the daily spins you receive, and receiving bxp from it doesn't really bother me. The only thing that bothers me is, as stated in the OP, paying with virtual or real life funds. When you pay for it, it doesn't feel genuine. If you get spins from quests, fine, but buying bulk experience just makes it feel cheap.

I like my Bonus Experience in a certain way buy you can actually buy enought for set records of xp gaining in a day. That's not fair.

So bonus xp has pros and cons.

Buying keys with gp is totally fine, because you have put time into earning gp.
Buying keys irl is what I don't support, well at least Jagex has some limits how much keys you can buy day/month.
Lead me, follow me, or get the hell out of my way.

That is a good thought but I think it'll never happen, Jagex wants to make money.

I don't see the problem myself.

Nobody is forcing you to use your daily keys, or to buy keys for special promotion items. Sure, it's a lot more "Pay to win" than it was a few years ago, but that's not really a great deal, is it?

A few items such as skill outfits have been released on the Thaler store, so it's a win-win situation. Although, many items (At least 90% cosmetic) aren't on the store.

They already have limits. Players can spend a maximum of $200 US per day and $500 US per month when purchasing keys.

I agree with it being bad but then again if I go to pest control and grind out 120 defence it'll take me a few months if i no life all day every day. Now I work 45 hours a week I no longer can do that so if i was in that situation i'd but exp. I dont see anything wrong with it as long as it's not like your parents credit card or something. I work hard for my irl gp and I should b able to catch up with people who do have all day to grind out soul wars or runespan.

Tbh, I kinda agree with this. Some people can't play as much as others can (I mean, who is the real winner here? At least we have full time jobs) I've probably played like 30 minutes in the last 2-3 weeks due to work. So it is nice that we can at least try to keep up with everyone else

Thank you, It pisses me off when kids use their parents money but if you're at work 45 hours a week and only get 2 days to play, I see no problem with it. I fully plan to be buying GP/XP in preparation for double exp weekend!

If you're buying XP with GP then I think it's okay, you've done your part in-game to be able to fund that XP, however buying XP with real life money is:
A) Unfair on the game's community for those that have spent the in-game hours to train the skills without any support from Treasure Hunter.
B) Unfair on those that have spent the in-game hours to fund Bonds.
C) Sad if you're spending all *or the majority of* your wages on XP cause it's a game and it should never be treated like it's real life.

People grow out of games, it's not worth the sacrifice.

I don't really get it, each to their own though.
Personally I play this game to actually play it. Just for fun and to de-stress, not competitively.

Exactly the same for me :) , rather spend some irl money on some cool outfits than bonds for xp

This is a large reason why I quit my P2P main and now use an exclusively F2P account. We can escape some of these promotions simply by our limitations of using BXP. In addition to this, not many F2P players would spend money on TH keys considering how we get (unusable) Fallen stars in 8/10 spins. I have always played RS in a way that I ignore XP rates and enjoy a challenge, and thus I'm very grateful that I can escape Microtransactions to a certain degree, and really feel bad for you players that come face-to-face with this blatantly unfair concept every day.

I'm sorry that achievements are no longer worth as much (relatively) as they used to be. In recent months, I've found it in me that no matter what, I love RS. I hated EoC when it came out, and I have learned to ignore it now. I hated RuneSpan when it came out, so I have never used it since the first hour I tried it, and spent thousands of hours getting 99 at GOP (more than enough for 200m in F2P). I hate TH promotions so I simply ignore them. At the end of the day, I think all of us can find it in ourselves to simply play the way WE want rather than conforming to negative change. The first step is ignoring XP rates and levels - simply log onto RS and make your #1 priority to have fun! Once you've done that, I can promise you that these exploited features of the game will no longer bother you. After all, there is no point in playing a game if you're constantly feeling disappointed.

I really like what you point out here, I'm really happy for the F2p community that no one is corrupted or ranks taken by microtransactions.

I think it's a stupid way of gaining experience (bonus xp included)

I do considering for example Bonus exp Armour really nice, if that was the only thing i wouldnt really care if people bought TH keys

I dislike exp buyers, I think they should make a separate highscores for pure people who never bought with irl money. Competition is and was always hard, but treasure hunter/squeal/bonds made it even harder for me.
