Welcome to the Clan News for January 2021!

We did it! We made it through Level 1 of the 2021 apocalypse! And man, what a month it has been!

As always, we start off with our demotions and promotions from the previous month:-

We have said goodbye to both @Only Matt and @Billy as members of staff. HOWEVER, they have been demoted to Clan Helpers, we hope that this new role for you both will allow you to still be able to help out the community without the added stress and responsibilities!

We have also welcomed two new Clan Helpers to the team: @DrFloof - we hope you enjoy yourself with us and @rsruinedme - welcome back!

We would also like to welcome @jj oo ee yy to Seniors! I had no doubts whatsoever that you would make it to this milestone but it's so great to have you here!

This also means that I will be transferring over to the Events Team Permanently. It has been amazing working alongside @Only Lilly in the Socialites Team all this time and I know the team will be in great hands.

Now with it being a new year, we often make some changes. I wanted to write a brief segment on what Clan Helpers do within Consentus now that we have expanded their role.

We know that people who are assigned to Clan Helpers already go above and beyond to help this community flourish. We always see this on a daily basis where members of this team help other members by giving them invaluable advice. But we have developed this role so that they can be part of the staff teams, without the obligation to do everything our current staff already do, so they can help at their own free will without the added responsibility a staff member would have. We also have a better line of communication now so we're able to work with each other better so we can see things to do with the clan from different perspectives. We're developing this role to be more of a communicative role where Clan Helpers can actually help us as well as our members, rather than it being a trophy role.

Consentus VS. Unity of Lunacy Skill War

Well, what a week it was! For those of you who didn't know we had a Skill War with UoL from the 25th-31st January and what a close competition it was at times!

Consentus started off pretty strong with steaming ahead on Woodcutting and Runecrafting. While UoL was leading on Cooking and Fletching. We thought Fishing would be the deciding skill and it had been pretty close most of the week. However, @BegMore appeared and was able to snipe Fletching from underneath UoL over the weekend and give us the 3-2 advantage! It wasn't over though, we still weren't sure if UoL would be able to snapper up Fishing, so our clan pulled together with smashing out the Fishing and Fletching gains just to be safe and we prevailed with a 4-1 win!

But we want to thank each and every one of you who took part in the Skill War, whether you were an active skiller, a buy limit retriever, or simply someone cheering from the sidelines, we appreciate all of you so much and it has been amazing to see all of us pull together and achieve this epic win as a team.

However, it is with great sadness to announce that our clan alliance with UoL has since then been dissolved. We do wish them the best of luck with their future endeavors though.

Minigames Extravaganza with Excaliburz!

On a much brighter note, the week before we had an awesome Minigames Extravaganza with our allied clan Excaliburz!

It included 6 days of minigames fun where each day was a different minigame, to mix things up a bit. We started the week off with Stealing Creation, Heist, and Barbarian Assault. And we finished off the week with Castle Wars, Cabbage Facepunch, and Pest Control. Depending on the minigame we either went head to head against each other or we worked together in order to succeed.

It was just for fun and what fun we had! It was a friendly competition as well as a chance to rake in those boosted rewards from the minigame week of the RuneScape 20th Anniversary.

Raids Development and the Danger Noodle Returns!

As some people may already know, we have now expanded our bi-weekly Sunday and Wednesday BeastMaster Raids nights to include the Danger Noodle / Water Snek / AKA Yakamaru!

We have heard through the grapevine that there will be a Clan Vs. Clan Bingo Event happening sometime in March... however, the exact date of said event is currently a secret to everybody. We imagine that this could be because Jagex may be revealing DXP sometime soon... but who knows, we're just a mere dino space penguin bear... (the hell does this mean Mog?) Mog: I meant the Eventurers! | Laurisaurus: Well why didn't you say so, dummy?

Reaper Masses!

As some of you may already know, we recently hosted not one, but two reaper masses! Mog and I think they were a huge success and it was brilliant to see clan members helping each other out with their daily reaper assignments.

So we want to ask you Killers of Consentus, the Slayers of Reapers! How often would you love to slay those bosses and show them you're in fact the boss?! Please check out this forum thread to cast your vote and discuss!

Skill of the Week

As the current reigning champion of Skill of the Week 2020 (Mog: Humble btw. | Laurisaurus: Oh shush you.) I want to see if any of you can beat my overall score of the almighty 444 points!

But in all seriousness, it's a fun weekly event to compete with clannies for bragging rights, as well as encouraging you to gain xp in the skills you don't really like doing... *cough* divination *cough* (Mog: We still haven't recovered from that btw, Sissy. | Laurisaurus: Not going to the Hall of Misery anytime soon.)

Clan Waiting List

Due to how amazing we are as a community, we are always constantly juggling being full! However, we may have a solution for this! We have now introduced a clan waiting list! How does this work, you may ask? Well, when we are at full capacity and someone wants a place, we reserve them on a waiting list and if people happen to leave the clan for whatever reason (Mog: Or they don't survive Lilly's Monthly Purge) they can then take their place. If you happen to come across someone who wishes to join our lovely family, please get them to contact a Clan Helper, Staff Member, Senior or Owner to let them know. We would also appreciate these people to have either a forum account with us or they join our Discord Server to make it easier for us to contact them without having to rely on them appearing online in-game.

From Our Clan Mother - Lilly!

What a month January has been!

Consentus had a skill war with Unity Of Lunacy. It was a resounding victory where we won 4 out of the 5 skills.

I find skill wars will always bring our Clan closer as a community. This one was no different, in fact better. To say I feel like a proud Mother is an underestimation. I have not stopped smiling from ear to ear., since the victory was announced.

Everyone took part and gave something, even if it was just cheering from the sidelines. Each one of you should we proud of what we all achieved. From the members that gained millions of xp down to the members that helped keep the cc motivated.

Lastly The Socialites have lost Lauren to the Eventites. I will miss having her, she had the ability to read my mind and just got on with whatever was needed doing. Lauren you are amazing. BUT I have gained Joey as my senior.

Joey brings a level head to all situations. He will be a positive part of the senior team. So thank you for taking on this high-pressure role.

As you get older, you have your tribe of women that you grow and age gracefully with and you share wisdom with. That's your clan. That's your family. That's your strength.
