Welcome to the Clan News for February, 2020!I'd like to start off this letter with some thank yous and welcomes.
First, most have probably noticed that
@Hydrogy has left the staff team and is no longer with us. This is indeed unfortunate news as he was an extraordinary member and even better person, who dedicated so much of his time to the clan. He pretty much single-handedly started weekly raids, twice a week, for something like 6 months. Every week without fail. His high spirits and go-getter attitude will be greatly missed. We'll miss you and wish you all the best with what comes next for you. You're a wonderful person, Glenn and you deserve good things in your life.
@3geh has also left the staff team and departed. Gaby was with us only a short period but made a large impact in that time. A feat that is tough to pull off, but she nailed it like it was her day job. Your sharp wit and extremely loving nature makes you a beautiful person inside and out that we'll all miss dearly.
Lastly, we also have a few new members of staff!

@JellyPuddy have all jumped on board the events team looking to add to what we hope to be another amazing year for events. All three are still new to the clan but in their short time so far, have shown a lot of passion for the game and a willingness to be more involved with the people here. Which is what we want and expect from all our staff. Welcome to the team, gentlemen!
Allied Clans!In recent weeks,
@Mog and other staff members have been hard at work to start an alliance with another clan. We found one in
Street Chemistry. Like us, they are a community-based clan and cover all areas of the game. It's only been a few weeks but it's been off to a great start and we all look forward to what is to come!
For those who may not know, clan allies are essentially partnerships between 2 or more clans. They attend each other's events and even make large scale ones like a full-blown Castle Wars or Soul Wars match. The main purpose behind these is to do new events with more people. Expand beyond what would be the norm and find out what else people enjoy. It's a great thing to be apart of and we hope it continues to grow into something better each day.
Currently, we primarily use Discord as a means to organize. We have members in their Discord server and their members in ours. Each has been set up with a channel which the other clan's members can message in and tag the appropriate role for upcoming events of theirs they'd like to invite the other to. Or even if one needs 2 more people for a raid; they can also ask using this method. As time goes on and potentially more clans join in, this system may have a change a bit. But for now, it's working great!

Double XP!Another Double XP weekend (week) has passed this time, we were given a whopping 48 hours of double the experience to use in a period of a week. Looking at the numbers, our members took huge advantage of this opportunity. Racking up over 6 billion XP total! It was a fun week and a lot of people accomplished their goals. Well done for your hard work everyone!
Archaeology!Jagex has officially announced that the new skill; Archaeology - will be released on March 30th. Obviously, it's the first day of March and we have an entire month to go. We also don't know yet how this skill is going to be trained. So there isn't much to say at the present moment on what we have planned. But we can assure you that as we learn more, we have every intention to create events around this to get everybody involved in on what is being made out to be an incredible addition to the game. A skill packed with lore for those of us that are lore hounds. Jagex claims there is so much packed into the skill, they had no choice but to make it a 120. Here's hoping for the best!

Events!There is no shortage of events here in Consentus. Our events team is hard at work every week to try and bring you new and exciting ways to interact with and spend time with your fellow clannies. Such as the weekly events; CC quiz, citadel capping, penguin hunting, skill competition, portables, Skribblio, and (back again!) raids. Plus new ones being made on the forums and others in-game each week. So be sure to check out the
Events section of the forums to always be up to date with what we're doing.
You've seen me say it before. Covering as many timezones as we can is a difficult task. Not impossible by any means but also not accomplished with ease. We do our best to find a good balance and adhere to what people want depending on where they live. This is one of the things taken into consideration when looking for new staff and we're continuing to get better at it. Now and always.
Pro and Noob!Every month we have a Pro & Noob competition. We track the experience of all our clan members and award the player with the most experience gained that month with the Pro rank. And the player with the closest XP to 250,000 but not below for that month, is tagged with the Noob title.

From StaffUntil next time Consentus, have fun and keep on 'Scaping! It's been a busy year so far (if you ask me anyway) and it's been cruising by faster and faster. Trends seem to be made as soon as another begins to die off and the process rapidly continues without signs of stopping. One thing that we as staff always strive to do is be in the know at all times so we can serve you; the members, better. It's not always easy because we can't please everyone. And it would be wrong to say that we do because it's just not possible. So instead, our goal is to give our best. Because that's all anyone can really ask of us. We will never stop trying to do that and will never stop putting you all first.
We're 2 months down and have a long way to go on our trip around the sun. But the next month will be here before we know it. So be sure to stop and take in the moment every once in a while. We'll see you in April!
