So, after a pretty interesting and active conversation in cc this morning,
When did everyone start playing Runescape and what is you biggest memory from there?

I start in Feb 2004 and remember the good old sleeping bag.

I also looked at my playing time and wonder out of the 256 days i've played how many of those have been bank standing.

Can't wait to hear when everyone started playing.

I first started playing almost 10 years ago when I had a school friend come over and she introduced me to the game. I remember vaguely playing for about a month before coming back to the game in 2017, then again last April, when I discovered Consentus.

I don't really remember things that happened while I played back in 2011 and 2017 but I do remember feeling really at home when I first joined here, and I always remember the moments of playing while chilling out with various people in our Discord server. The one memory of this that really stands out is when I first started talking to my now boyfriend while we played. It was just awesome to be able to just be in a relaxed atmosphere while getting to know people who you click with straight away.

Random kid at the library told me to log on to this new game that he had recently discovered, said it was called "run-escape". Little did I know he had warned me at an early age of a strange addiction haha. 16 years later, I'm still playing. Wish I could of kept contact with him so I could say thank you and I hate you at the same time lol.

Funnest memories for me will always be my dicing days, having a huge bank and being able to pk in gear I only thought was obtainable in my wildest dreams. Those were the days.

History of myself playing is a bit messy. I remembered making an account in 2007 but didn't get past goblins. I tried again in 2009 and played heaps until around Dungeoneering came out. I didn't play for so long until 2017 and then stopped again. Now it's 2020 and here I am again trying to commit to playing and getting at least a 99!

My biggest memories was just how social things used to be. Chatting at Karamja fishes, mining in Al Kharid and so on. My biggest achievement was completing Monkey Madness back in the day and getting the Dragon Scimitar for the first time. I'm looking to do it again soon haha.

Been around the game for 15 or so years now, possibly even longer but on my main account that I play today being roughly 11 years old ish?

Originally started out playing with some Irl friends from high school and had a sorta clan thing going on with them back in the 07 days but sadly as we discovered parties and such interest in the game practically vanished.

Fast forward a couple of years to the creation of my main account, I find myself playing solo most of my friends had quit so I wandered around aimlessly until I found a little group similar to before but then Eoc hits and they all up and quit. Back to being solo it is.

Fast forward again maybe a year or so until I found my first real clan that I was a member of for 7 years. During my time in my previous clan there was bumps in the road which led to me Consentus where I became a regular guest for the longest time until I finally joined. Yes Lilly for the millionth time I know it took me far too long and yes you told me so >.>

Fun fact, I spent so much time guesting in the clan my forum account is older than how long I've been in the clan. In fact it's almost double.

I've been playing Runescape since 2007 and have just passed my 600th day of total online time (which is depressing when I think about it), I first heard of Runescape in my middle school and saw classmates playing it in our free time at the computer lab but I didn't think much of it at the time, within a few months though I thought I'd give it a crack and it didn't take long for me to get hooked. Sadly at home I didn't have a computer until several more years went by but when we did get one I distinctly recall driving my parents nuts by playing when they weren't watching. Back then my fondest memories were from spending a lot of time in the stronghold of security as f2p and clan wars/pest control/stealing creation once I turned p2p (which I got by paying a close friend my lunch money for him to fund my membership due to my parents being very anti-videogames).

Been properly playing since 2010, took breaks here and there but I think everyone does :p

Can't remember an exact date but I remember October.  So 16 years as of this month.

Started back in 2004, took many long breaks since then.

But some of the memories i have from those days are making enough money to finally buy my Abyssal Whip (had to collect a lot of flax for that), spending time in Castle Wars and other mini games getting my ass kicked by maxed combat players, going on trips to wildy with a few friends only to end up running away from massive clans. Fun times!

When I first started playing?  Geeze...I want to say late 2005.  I remember that Farming was a brand new skill, but Construction hadn't come out yet. 

My nephews introduced me to this game.  They were about 10 and 7 at the time.  Their father was living with me, and when they'd come out for the weekend and I'd let them use my PC to play (after some begging lol).  After several months of that, the oldest started telling me that I'd really like this game.  Insisting, really.  I just can't imagine that I'd like a game that amuses kids 10 and younger, but after some insistence I relent and tried it.

I was, for all intents and purposes, hooked before I left Tutorial Island.  You might think I'm joking when I say this, but it was the "Newbie Melody" that got me.  Something about it made me feel welcome, like Jagex was saying "You belong here, with us!  This is your home now."  It is one of my fondest memories of this game.

Once I left the island, I was messing around in the courtyard of Lumby castle, killing Men and basically exploring the controls.  I right clicked on the poor guy who kept respawning and saw an option to pickpocket him.  Of course it says that Thieving is a members only skill, and I looked at my nephews (who were watching me) and said, quite dramatically, "I can NOT abide this!  No game is going to tell me what I can't do!"  Then, after maybe 10 minutes of playing, I pulled out my credit card and paid for membership.   And then I pickpocketed the Man (which they thought was hilarious).   

I have had many, many accounts over the years.  I've had skillers, pures, hybrids for PKing (which I absolutely sucked at), you name it.  I've taken more breaks than I can even count, but this is always the game I come back to.

My favorite memory has to be walking new players to Varrock and through White Wolf Mountain. That was always fun
