Warbands

Hello guys,
I was wondering 1 thing the other day. We all know warbands made the maxing progress quite a bit easier. Which is hateful for some and loveable for the most of RS3 community. I can't say I don't do warbands myself, ofcourse, but I was thinking, because I only do warbands really, because I can not afford to do Construction and Smithing. Not trying to defend myself here, really, but we all know why we do it. but I was thinking, because I do enjoy training these skills. Why are all the other Free EXP's changed into bonus exp, except for warbands? Wouldn't it be a lot more fair and fun, for me, if the Warbands eXP wasn't free and that easy (CUZ IT IS OP (overpowered)), but added to your bonus EXP in that skill? The skills would still be trained, prices will be stable, etc. etc.
So Warbands Free EXP, or Bonus EXP? What do you guys think?

Having warbands changed to bonus XP has been a hot topic for many months, they don't seem to be changing it or have any plans to change it anytime soon. I do agree it should be bonus XP instead of just straight up XP.

The skills will be actually be trained.. I mean Farming, it tripled the daily exp for Farming, for most of us. It's good if it's bxp, because then you actually have to farm to get 99.

I think warbands should give bonus xp, not free xp and it should be reduced massively because the amount of xo you can get for doing basically nothing is ridiculous. I can't stand these people who've got 99 farming etc when they've never planted a tree in their damn life.

It made me ultimately quit my skiller.
It killed farming, it was one of those skills you had to work hard for. It made buyables easier and people were getting like 2.1m experience a week for doing jack.
Warbands itself is an awful idea. Bonus experience or not.

What about switching to gaining EXP as a WEEKLY thing, however, you can still loot for a cash reward?
That way, the people who want to pk or loot still have a reason to go out in the wild while doing it, and those who want them done for the week are thrown into that mix as well.
Even with this I wouldn't mind if it was straight EXP. Still higher than Tears, pengs, and whatever else.
But having it as a FREE way to get 300k+ DAILY exp is not the answer. It doesn't even make sense. What does gathering a bunch of apparatuses have to do with training Herblore? It's silly.

If you take into account all of the other xp giving minigames, then its clear that warbands are ridiculous and need to be changed or removed entirely.
Tears of Guthix = skill dependant, but realistically not much more than 60k per WEEK
God statues = 200-300k in total per MONTH
Troll Invasion = not much more than 60-70k per MONTH
Yet, warbands can give you millions of xp per week? For basically doing nothing.

I understand why people do it as they fall behind others that do warbands.
However this one thing has spoilt all the game for me.
I look at the massive gains and I just think its ridiculous.

I agree with the points above. I'm not complaining when I get 360k exp a day for 15mins~ work but I only do it because it's there. I think warbands are terrible idea but again it makes it easier for people to gain exp and shaves loads of time off 120s , so you can see why people want. The damage has been done now I think anyway. Mayaswell leave them now :S

It would be nice if we could have a poll on the warbands rewards. While I don't believe that the majority would vote for removing warbands or even nerfing it, I think there's a good chance that bonus XP would win. In terms of OP content, I think treasure hunter is far worse, because the time it reduces in high-end competition is many times greater than warbands.

It's just a massive kick in the bollocks to those who spent 100's of millions on these skills and now noobs can do them for free with little to no effort at all.
